Rules of Motorsports One
========================

Notes: In this document, the masculine form is used for brevity.
This set of rules can be changed at my discretion.

-Every user should feel free to express his opinions, that is the main
purpose of Motorsports One. However, in doing so, he must keep in mind
that his opinions need to be free of insults to the persons he is
writing to or about. Every user of this network, as well as motorsports
personalities, deserve to be treated with respect and if everybody
follows this rule, we will not have a problem.

-Aliases are not allowed. If you make use of them in other networks,
make sure your real name appears on the messages you write on
 Motorsports One.

-Your messages have to respect the topic of the conference in which they
are posted. If the type of motorsports you want to write about doesn't
have a dedicated conference, it must be posted in the "Other
Motorsports" conference. If your message is not about motorsports, it
must be posted in the "Chat" conference.

-Crossposting of messages from Motorsports One to any other network is
 strictly forbidden.

-Although it is not required, proper usage of the English language is
 strongly encouraged.

-When you quote a message from another user, keep only the minimum of
quotes necessary for the users to be able to follow a thread. Use of
the ">" character, with or without initials before it, is strongly
recommended, most mail readers recognize only that character when
displaying quotes in a different color.

-In an effort to keep the mail transfer costs from escalating to
unreasonable amounts, signatures are limited to 2 lines of text. Also,
messages cannot contain graphics, ANSI drawings, BBS color codes or
characters other than the ones found on the standard English keyboard
and the letters with accents (for names in foreign languages such as
 French or Spanish).

-Whenever possible, and if your BBS is set for it, all personal messages
between two users should be moved to netmail. Internet e-mail, when
available to both users, is also a recommended alternative.

-All infractions to these rules will be pointed out to you by the
Network Coordinator. Refusal to abide by these rules is grounds for
 exclusion from the network.
