History of Motorsports One
==========================

02/05/96 -Network inauguration
-Creation of conferences for NASCAR Winston Cup, IndyCar & IRL
and Formula 1 discussions, plus a conference for all other
motorsports series, one for non-motorsports chat and one
open to sysops and point-system operators only.

03/20/96 -First Canadian application received. Michael LeChasseur,
sysop of The F1 Circus in Montral, Qubec, became the first
Canadian sysop to join Motorsports One. Michael has been
posting the Formula 1 News on other networks and will be
sharing it with Motorsports One. Big thanks go to Neil
Whiley, editor of Formula 1 News, and Michael.

06/03/96 -First American application received. Di's Online Cafe,
operated by Diane Summers, is the biggest BBS in the Mobile
(Alabama) area. In addition to carrying Motorsports One and
FidoNet conferences, Di's Online Cafe is Mobilians' best
source for Internet services. Diane and her BBS have a
special place in my heart since it's on Di's Online Cafe
that, 3 years ago, I started chatting with the woman who
became my wife in January 1995.

08/05/96 -Establishment of an official link with NASCAR Public
Relations. Their Media Fax Service will enable Motorsports
One to keep its users updated with the latest qualifying
results, race results and points standings. The series that
are covered by this fax service are the Winston Cup Series,
the Busch Series, Grand National Division and the Craftsman
           Truck Series.

08/13/96 -Establishment of a direct link to receive Neil Whiley's F1
News newsletters as well as pre-race and race reports from
           Gale Force F1.

08/23/96 -Lee Driggers, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Manager of
Computer Resources, has added Motorsports One to his Indy
           Racing League Internet mailing list.

12/17/96 -Toronto-based Michael Cosgrove, who was a Formula 1 reporter
for now-defunct Formula magazine and who also covers
Formula 1 and CART races for The Globe and Mail, has agreed
to provide us with as many Formula 1 and CART articles as he
can find. Michael's contribution in Motorsports One's
coverage of open-wheel racing will be greatly appreciated.
