Problem Report: T11363

Printing from a computer running Microsoft Windows '95 over LANtastic
PowerSuite or 6.00 causes the error 'Spool32' when a printjob is sent from
the Windows '95 node to a LANtastic printserver when the system date on the
printserver is set to the month of December of any year.

                 RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
****************************************************************************

Run the self-extracting executable file LANT6X.EXE in your LANtastic network
directory on all Windows '95 nodes (by default, this directory is
C:\LANTASTI.) This text file and the file LANTNET.DRV will be extracted.
It is necessary to overwrite any previous copies of this program that exist
on any LANtastic 6.0 or PowerSuite machines that are running Windows '95.
By default, these copies are found in the C:\LANTASTI and C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directories. It is necessary to replace both copies to ensure consistent
behavior. It is also recommended to search the entire disk by issuing the
'DIR LANTNET.DRV /S /P' command from the root directory (C:\) to locate
any copies of LANTNET.DRV that may be on the machine so that they may be
replaced.

It will be most convenient to boot the Windows '95 machine in DOS mode to
search for, find, and replace these files. Windows '95 will place a file
lock on this file in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. As a result, the machine
will not allow the file to be overwritten when Windows '95 is active and will
generate a 'sharing violation' error, thus necessitating booting from DOS.

If the machine currently has Windows '95 running, perform a 'Shutdown-Restart
in MS-DOS mode.' When the DOS prompt is reached; run the commands
'COPY A:LANTNET.DRV C:\LANTASTI' and 'COPY A:LANTNET.DRV C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM'
where A: is the drive containing the updated LANTNET.DRV file. You should
receive prompts explaining that the existing LANTNET.DRV files will be
overwritten. Choose 'Y' to overwrite the files. If your configuration does
not use default directory names for the LANtastic programs, it will be
necessary to change the destination directory names in the above example
in order to replace the existing versions.

After these files have been replaced, the machine may be restarted normally
in Windows '95 mode.
