                           New User Information
                           --------------------

By Brian Kellison - Air Time BBS

Hello and welcome to the BBS world. You will find that as a
new user there is whole new world with all of the different
BBS's there are. Each BBS or Bulletin Borad System has been
customized by the SYSOP (System Operator) of that particular
     system.

Remember even if you have a question, always talk to the Sysop
of that system; there you will find the most information.

A lot of the commands are very basic throughout the BBS
world. For example C or P means to either Chat or Page the
Sysop. F or T means File area or Transfer section. These
commands have the same purpose but just use different
letters or words too describe them.

One thing to remember is that help on the commands on most all
BBS's is available by pressing ? or H. Please be sure to read
     all information on the screens.

Most commands are very simple to use and with a little common
sense anyone can figure then out. Some BBS's tell you in
order to go back to the main menu you either press Q, ESC, or M
which will take you back where you started.

Watch out for some BBS's as you may have to go to the main
menu in order to access the other menus. Each menu has a
different set of commands to follow and with the different
types of BBS's there are it will be hard to follow all of them.

When logging onto a system for the first time you will have to
answer a few questions. These questions will contain
information that is needed by the system to determine how
you as the user would like to run it.

There is a command that I suggest for all new users to stay
away from until you get familiar with the BBS system and that is
the expert mode. This mode doesn't show you any commands as
it is set up for speedy access.

Each month we will be discussing the command structures of
the different BBS's. I realize that you may run into ones
that I may have not covered yet, but, always remember to
read any help available or ask the sysop of the system you're on.
