InfoShow is a marketing presentation for Randy Fordyce, a.k.a. InfoAge
Associates.

It was created with Gold Disk's Astound and runs under windows. No
installation is required. Copy INFOSHOW.EXE to your hard drive, then RUN it
using the RUN command in Windows File menu (or simply double-click on the file
name in File Manager).

NOTE: InfoShow won't run from a floppy. There is just room on a diskette for
the file. When the presentation plays, the program extracts elements of itself
and needs more disk space than is available on a 1.2 meg floppy. But be
assured: The Astound Player does clean
up after itself. You won't find any leftover files and no files on your system
will be touched.

Although it IS multi-media, InfoShow is lowest common denominator (no sound or
video; just words, graphics and some simple animation). It is intended to
demonstrate the possibilities of limited budget interactive multi-media
marketing while promoting interest in InfoAge, the company and Randy, the
writer.

Another point to note: I did it all myself. Were this for a client, I would
have involved a designer/artist (for obvious reasons); maybe even a
programmer, depending on budget. Also, since I was the client, it seemed the
writerly thing to do.

That, however is not offered as an excuse for any perceived graphic
shortcomings, real or imagined. Rather, it underlines the fact that the core,
the essence of any marketing communication, multi-media, print, video or point
of purchase, is ALWAYS the writing. No amount of glitzy graphics, brilliant
animation, gee-whiz programming or any other "dressing up" will clarify a
fogged communication. If the message doesn't come through in casual garb, it
won't make connect in a tux either.

Your comments and suggestions are welcome whether you need InfoAge's
services now or not. All responses will be gratefully received.
