The Communications Decency Act Voice Of Opinions
************************************************

Here are a collection of opinions and thoughts concerning the
CDA, including mine.

"...Now the government is giving us the CDA, not only similar to
child ponography laws and telecommunication laws from the past,
yet also adds a new limitation to sex education, from univer-
sities to publishing companies. This is not law enforcing, this
is taking our rights. The government is non-effective concerning
porn online, if a child is really serious in getting pornography,
they could simply look for a site from another country in the
Internet which the government has to jurisdiction of. So what is
the point of wasting money for this bill, that has not done nothing
but cause trouble to the people of the United States of America."

                                  Don Sausa

"...I think any bill/law that prohibits FREE use of any sources
for informational purposes, whether it is a library or technology
is the stupidest thing that could happen in our society -- welcome
back to the Dark Ages!"

                                  Eileyn Sobeck

"...I'm against it -- sounds like a blatent disregard for free speech
and besides, who decides what's decent? It reminds me of when Tipper
Gore got some Congressional wives together and decided they wanted to
bel music labels. Give me a break."

                                  Chris Walsh

"...I think control of what a parent's child see should be explicitly up
to the parent, not the government..."

                                  Jon Mcphee

"...The parent's should be watching over their children better if they
don't want them getting these files. The rest of the computer community
shouldn't have to (opposite of benefit) just because kids are getting
into stuff they shouldn't."

                                  Mike Birch

"...not too sure of the details of it but if it cuts down on trash on
the airwaves, hurrah!"
