Q: When I select "Edit/Add PC NIC Addresses" from the main menu, nothing
    happens. Whats wrong?
A: You don't have an ASCII editor called "EDIT" in your DOS path. When you
select this option, the program is shelling out to DOS and trying to
    execute "EDIT".

Q: I can only see the top one-half of the remote PC's video. Why?
A: You need to order the licensed version to see the complete screen. You
can see full screen video with the evaluation version if the remote PC
goes into 40 column mode with the DOS MODE command.

Q: All graphics are in black & white. Why?
A: Limitations for speed and silent operation on the remote workstation.

Q: What's the difference between the evaluation copy and a licensed copy?
A: The licensed copy allows you to see the complete screen instead of just
    the top one-half.

Q: Does the licensed version of GOLD35 support more graphics modes?
A: No.

Q: If I create menues with the evaluation version, will I have to recreate
    them for the licensed version?
A: No. The installation program for the licensed version will not overwrite
any menu files if you install the licensed version to the same directory.

Q: On the PING RESULTS window, what does the Transport line information mean?
A: The first digit is the number of router hops to the destination. The
second number is the estimated time in TICS (1/18th of a second) to send
a packet to the destination PC. The third number is the actual time in
TICS that it took to send a packet to the destination PC.

Q: It seems that if I can view any PC on my LAN from my desk, there needs
to be something that the user can do to keep me from doing that.
A: There is. There are two COM files with this program. One is called
EYESOFF.COM and the other is EYESON.COM. The users at the remote PCs
can execute EYESOFF and you won't be able to view that PC's video until
the user executes EYESON. It is your responsibility to make these two
    programs available to them.

Q: Is EYESOFF or EYESON a TSR?
A: No.

Q: How many items can I put into a menu?
A: I wouldn't advise putting more than 100 or so. The program will handle
over 2000 items per menu, but it takes an excessive amount of time to
    read and sort them.

Q: How many PCs can I monitor with GOLD35?
A: All of them. That is: If every LAN has a licensed copy of GOLD35, then
your license will allow you to monitor any LAN with a licensed copy of
    GOLD35.

Q: How do I find the network and node address of a PC?
A: The simplest way is to use the Novell USERLIST with a /A switch. You
can send the output directly to your printer and have a hardcopy of
all of your NIC IDs of the PCs that are currently logged-in.

The node address is also displayed when you load your LAN card driver.

Q: Can the workstations load G35RWS.COM high?
A: Yes.

Q: I've loaded G35RWS.COM on a workstation and GOLD35 can't see it. What's
    wrong?
A: Check the network and node address for that PC in the menu file. Spacing
of the brackets is CRITICAL. There must be 8 character positions between
the brackets for the network address and 12 character positions between
the brackets for the node address. There must be one space between the
network ending bracket and the node beginning bracket.

Q: Does the remote workstation that I want to view have to be logged-in to
    the server?
A: No. As long as the workstation is physically connected to the network
and is running IPX and G35RWS.COM, you can remotely view the workstation.

Q: When I am viewing a workstation that is running Windows, I see quick
flashes of light on my screen or little patterns of vertical lines.
A: So does your remote user. Remember, this program was not intended to
be used in a graphical environment.

Q: Can I take control of the remote PC that I am viewing?
A: No.

Q: How come I can't see the cursor from the remote PC?
A: After selecting the PC and you have the PING RESULTS box displayed on
the screen, press [C] instead of [Enter] and the cursor will be displayed.
