                            Corporate Reporting
                            -------------------
Just set up a FW file matching our account numbers to your account
numbers. Once created, this file can be used again and again each
month. Multiple accounts can be imported into each FW account, to
create a summarized set of financial statements.

Financial Wonder will import your financial accounts through our
Lotus 1-2-3 import, directly into a set of financial statements.
Then simply recalculate. No Building of Financial Statements Needed.

Cash flow & ratio reports are produced automatically !

Export your financials to over 600 printers, using up to 43 different
fonts, or to Lotus 1-2-3 WK1 files.

                             Consolidations
                             --------------
Financial Wonder can consolidate an unlimited number of companies, up
to 100 at a time. Produce multiple level consolidations with ease.

Use our consolidation mode to combine all files. Enter any adjustments
or eliminations, and recalculate the consolidated file to create
complete sets of financials. You may now print the separate department
     files and/or the consolidated file.

The consolidated file will maintain the details on every monthly
amount, for each account, in each file. A maximum of 18,500,000 cells
     (37 months * 5000 total accounts * 100 files) are maintained. The
consolidating details for each account may be viewed on-line, at any
time. Simply press CTL-F7 to see your "37 month by 100 department"
analysis of that account. Press CTL-F7 again to summarize by quarter
     or year.

Further, you can consolidate 100 of these consolidated files together.

Each file maintains a complete set of financials. So for divisional use,
you could have created and consolidated 100 complete sets of financial
statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash statement)!
Adjustments can be made for foreign currency conversion and percent
     ownership of each file.
(FW consolidates an unlimited number of companies - and consolidated
files - up to 100 at a time).

                     A Revolution in Corporate Budgeting
                    -------------------------------------
FW provides the tools to create the detailed budgets and forecasts
business has always wanted. Executives need this information to
properly manage their business, make policy decisions, and arrive at
major decisions that can make or break their company. Financial Wonder
will allow them to view the company's course before it happens, not
     after it is too late.

FW can create complete sets of monthly financial statements without
the needfor the user to forecast on a monthly basis.

You supply the 5%, we do the other 95%.
                                     - 2 -
The program allows data to be entered in a flexible mixture of Monthly,
Quarterly and Annual size periods which can be defined by the user.

FW will head-up its spreadsheet for you. FW will understand the size of
each forecast period which you have defined, spreading the results to
create 36 complete sets of MONTHLY financial statements and ratio
analysis, displayed right on the screen, based on your use of our
extensive list of forecast methods made available to you. In addition,
each period of each financial account forecast (including new
sub-accounts created by the user) may use a different formula method.

This reviewer had some experience with the Alcar product line, and was
a heavy Lotus 1-2-3 user (Alcar's Value Planner & Consolidation programs,
     cost over $7000).

"In using the software, I was impressed by the ease of inputting and
manipulating data. This program provides a pull-down menu system of
processing alternatives. For those who feel comfortable with Lotus 1-2-3,
     the transition is easy."

"After a file has been developed in Financial Wonder, the software
allows a smooth transition to a 1-2-3 spreadsheet. The software
preserves the format and totals from the original file. Financial Wonder
generates most of the reports required so that moving the file to Lotus
     1-2-3 is not always necessary."

"Within the scope of my limited experience with both Alcar and Financial
Wonder, I found the latter easier to work with. Alcar has a series of
menus instead of pull-down menus, and Financial Wonder appears to
recalculate more quickly. When Alcar files are translated into Lotus
1-2-3, all of their features are not preserved as with Financial Wonder.
When comparing cost, Financial Wonder is the better buy."

                            About Financial Wonder
                            ----------------------

     Budgeting Uses Many Features
     ----------------------------
     Let's see how it works!
     ----------------------------

FW provides you with a ready-to-go worksheet containing over 250
financial accounts. These accounts are all pre-programmed.

     * First, change any account descriptions to your liking.

     * Add new sub-accounts to the existing accounts. Each file can
contain up to 5000 financial accounts !

Example: Add 10 new Sales, Accounts Receivable and Cost of Sales
accounts. Maybe even link the A/R and COS accounts to Change as
         the individual Sales accounts change.

FW's memory management is compatible with MS Windows 3.0, and
will operate under the standard or enhanced modes. FW is also
compatible with "Memory Commander" from V Communications Inc.

     * Next select the structure of your Data Entry. FW allows you to
enter your data monthly, quarterly or annually. Mixtures for each
year are acceptable. For our example we will use 3 annual periods
         of Data Entry.

     * Enter your opening balance sheet amounts. (This would also be
your most recent ending balances, to be used for the start of
         your 3 year forecast).

     * Select your formula methods and enter your amounts or growth
percentages to be forecast into the 3 (annual) columns. Each
cell may use a different formula method. There are 120 formula
methods & 100 Global Seasonality screens available.

                                    THAT'S IT!

FW will create 36 complete sets of MONTHLY financial statements and
ratio analysis, and display the results right on the screen. That's
     between 10,000 and 180,000 cells !

                            How FW calculates your files!
                            -----------------------------
FW performs these steps in the following order...Automatically!

     1) Calculate forecasted amounts for the 1st month of the 1st year.

     2) Determine cash flow for that month.
         a) Increase "Marketable Securities" for positive cash flow,
         b) Increase "Additional Loans" for negative cash flow,
         c) Or reduce Marketable Securities or Additional Loans
             cumulative from previous months.

                                     - 5 -
     3) Calculate interest income/expense on cumulative Marketable
         Securities or Additional Loans.
         a) Interest calculated for previous months
         b) Days of interest is user selectable for the current month
         c) Uses different interest rates & # of days for interest income
             and interest expense

     4) Tax-effect the interest on cash flow

     5) Update the B/S , I/S , C/S , and ratio analysis for :
         a) Marketable Securities & Additional Loans
         b) Retained Earnings
         c) Interest income & interest expense
         d) Tax expense

     6) FW Will Then Repeat All of the Above For Each of the 36 MONTHLY
         Periods.

All this is accomplished in under 1 minute ! And all Automatically !

OK! Let's look at what we have
                          ------------------------------
     * FW displays 3 sets of financial screens
         a) Data Entry & Formula Entry
         b) Calculation (by Data Entry period)
         c) Monthly Calculation

     * In the previous example the Data Entry screens would show an
opening B/S and 3 annual Data Entry columns.

     * Monthly Calculation screens contain an opening B/S and 36 monthly
calculated columns of results in dollars.

     * Calculation screens always contain the same columns as the Data
Entry screens. The Monthly Calculation screen results are
summarized in the same structure (month/quarter/annual) as your
original forecast. This makes your analysis of the results very
easy! It also acts as a summarizer for reports.

                              Special Management Tools
                              ------------------------
     * FW will let you grade yourself. You determine 5 levels of
acceptability, "Excellent to Poor", for each ratio.

Example: Gross Profit of 50% might be excellent, 35% being poor,
         with 3 other levels in-between.

     * The 36 monthly results plus your grades, "Excellent to Poor", will
be displayed for each ratio. Short to-the-point descriptions and
analysis are displayed for each ratio.

                              Let's produce some reports
                              --------------------------
     * FW has a ONE-KEY export to Lotus 1-2-3. Select which reports you
would like by pressing (Y) for Yes. THAT'S IT!

                                     - 6 -
Polished Lotus files with $ signs, totals, lines drawn and range
names will be created for you in just a minute or two.

FASB 95 Cash Statements can also be produced using either the
         direct or indirect method.

     * Print drivers for 600 printers (LaserJets & dot matrix) using up
to 43 different fonts (printer dependent) are provided, along with
         a wealth of print options.

     * Printouts of screens (includes account numbers) :
         * Data Entry & Formula Entry
         *  Calculation
         *  Monthly Calculation

     * Report printing (formal looking reports) :
         *  Calculation
         *  Monthly Calculation
         *  FASB 95 Cash Statements

Save up to 20 different report formats with each file. Print detailed
or summarized reports. You can roll-up selected sub-accounts into their
main account, or even have the main account rolled-up.

Example: With 10 Accounts Receivable sub-accounts you could roll-up
the amounts from, say, 7 of the 10 into the main A/R account. These
7 accounts would not print out. Maybe even roll-up these 7 accounts
and the main A/R account into "Other Current Assets".

                           Fine tuning with REPORT MODE
                           ----------------------------
First use our formula methods to create your monthly forecast. Then
enter the REPORT MODE and work with the monthly $ results.

You may directly change any calculated amount in any month. You may
even add new sub-accounts. The REPORT MODE will re-calculate tax
expense, re-calculate cash flow + tax-effect and update all financials,
revise the cash statement and all ratios, and will re-add all totals.

Monthly amounts are summarized by month, quarter and annual periods
     under "Calc screen".

To enter REPORT MODE simply call up the saved BUDGET file as a REPORT
     MODE file.

Options for taxation, present value, and interest on cash flow are
     available.

                               Consolidations
                               --------------
FW consolidates an unlimited number of companies (and consolidated
files), up to 100 at a time. An account's individual company details
and eliminations may be viewed on-line (that's 10,000 to 18,500,000
details). Adjusting entries can be made to the consolidated file.
Consolidated & consolidating (lists all company balances that make
up each consolidated amount) reports & 1-2-3 files may be produced.

                                     - 7 -
                             Extras to think about
                             ---------------------
     * Files created with FW can be used to create templates for future
use. Once a particular file is created, its setup can be reused.

     * The Data Entry structure can also be changed. Columns can be
"Inserted" or "Deleted". An annual Data Entry column can be
re-cast as a quarterly column, with 3 additional columns
"Inserted" in front of the re-cast column.

These new columns can be "Deleted", just as easily.

FW can operate with a mixture of monthly, quarterly & annual
columns. You might wish to use quarterly columns in the 1st year
for greater flexibility. The first quarter might then be converted
to monthly columns to enter actuals for the first 3 months. Then
re-calculate the budget and see how the actual results affect your
         forecast.

                                     - 1 -
     Product Installation
     --------------------
Financial Wonder ("FW") is designed for the IBM PC, XT, AT, 386,
and compatibles with a hard drive, PC or MS-DOS 3.1 or higher,
640K available memory. The use of expanded and/or extended memory
is highly recommended. FW will operate, and will print, across a
network. However, there is no network file locking. This means that
two users should not work on the same file at the same time.

To install Financial Wonder for Small Business onto your hard drive,
place the 6 ZIP program files FWSB30z1.zip to FWSB30z6.zip (Financial
Wonder for Small Business Version 3.0) into the desired sub-directory
on your hard drive (ex: C:\WONDER). Use PKUNZIP to uncompress FWSB30z1,
then run INSTALL.BAT to install the program.

Absolutely no changes will be made to either your autoexec.bat or
     config.sys file.

FW must be installed on your system's hard drive. The program will
operate from any lettered hard drive (ex:C,D,E) and from any
directory, however, wherever the FW program resides must have a
subdirectory named DATA and all SAVED files, required to be in this
     subdirectory, must reside there.

Extra HP printer fonts need to be installed in the '\SLATE\FONT'
sub-directory on the same drive as FW. This directory name cannot
be changed. INSTALL.BAT will create this directory for you automatically.

     The following programs are included:
     ------------------------------------

FWDEMO.BAT This will run our demo program. This program will help
you understand all of the menus, screens, and options
                  available within Financial Wonder.

MANUAL.EXE The complete manual may be viewed and printed.
A table of contents is provided for easy access.

FWSB.EXE The 'Financial Wonder for Small Business' version.
(includes support for Open Systems Accounting Software
                  'OSAS' users).

SLATE.EXE Program to load print drivers

TESTDV.BAT Tests an installed print driver.

The following program is NOT included:
     ------------------------------------

FW.EXE Financial Wonder (Professional) is available directly
from BrainChild Software Inc. An order form is included
'ORDER.DOC.' (note: This program may not be returned
once the license envelope containing the full FW
program has been opened - NOT COPY PROTECTED).

                                     - 2 -
Financial Wonder is a virtual memory spreadsheet. Spreadsheet
files are stored in a combination of expanded memory, extended
     memory, and hard drive.

Since the movement of file information to/from your hard drive is
far slower than when using expanded and/or extended memory, we highly
recommend that you operate Financial Wonder with at least 1 megabyte
     of expanded and/or extended memory.

On-Line documentation is available from within the program (type
"ALT-M" from within a spreadsheet screen). You may view or print-out
individual chapters. The file names with the extension ".DOC"
contain the on-line documentation files. These files may also be
viewed within any text editor or word processor.

The entire manual (except for screen pictures) is included. Run
the MANUAL.EXE program to view the table of contents. You may view
or print-out individual chapters. The file names with the extension
".MAN" contain the on-line manual files. These files may also be
viewed within any text editor or word processor. In order to view
the *.DOC and *.MAN files, your MS-DOS PATH command must include the
directory containing your COMMAND.COM file, which is usually in either
     C:\, or C:\DOS.

We suggest that you first load one of the two budget example files,
then pull-down the "screens" menu and select data entry to start. From
this point you can press ALT-M for detailed documentation.

The "listing of commands" will help you move about Financial Wonder.
If you are familiar with Lotus 1-2-3 and with pull-down menus, you will
find Financial Wonder a joy to work with. The ESC key will generally
abort a process, and the "/" key calls up the pull-down menu. F1, F9
and F10 are used often throughout the program. Only a few keys are
used regularly and there is no formula building such as in an ordinary
spreadsheet program. Financial Wonder is a relatively easy program to
operate; however, its tremendous power will progress you to a new
     level of financial understanding.

Financial Wonder may be operated as an MS-DOS application under MS
Windows 3.0 and 3.1 in either the standard or 386 enhanced modes.
Modify our example Windows PIF file to allocate expanded and/or
extended memory resources from your Windows environment. Both the
virtual memory management for swapping code, and the virtual memory
management used for swapping spreadsheet data are compatible with MS
     Windows 3.0 and 3.1.

Financial Wonder may be also be operated as an MS-DOS application
under OS/2 2.x. Modify your DOS settings for expanded memory use.

                                     - 3 -
                                Getting Started
                                ---------------

     To Load Printer Drivers
     -----------------------
After installation, go to C:\WONDER, type SLATE, and press ENTER.

Print drivers may be installed one at a time until you choose to end
the install. The install program may be run at a later date in order
to install new or additional drivers. The main FW program will allow
you to change your active printer to one of the other installed
printers and will allow you to change typefaces. Only install the
     drivers needed.

Installing too many drivers will slow actual printing. Printer
drivers will be installed in the "WONDER" directory in the file
     SLATE.PDB.

Chapter 33 provides details on the use of SLATE.

     IMPORTANT
     ---------
All data files must reside in the \WONDER\DATA directory. In addition,
FW requires a full 640K in order to operate, therefore TSR's (Terminate
and Stay Resident programs) should not be used unless they are
relatively small. For example, Sidekick would severely restrict the
memory needs of FW, whereas a Screen Saver program should operate
     without concern.

FW will take advantage of the memory manager "Memory Commander," to
expand available DOS memory space to 800KB or 900KB.

     HIGH MEMORY MANAGER
     -------------------
FW can make use of expanded and extended memory. To use extended
memory either HIMEM.SYS or a compatible driver such as "QEMM" or "386
to the Max" needs to be installed. (Do not install HIMEM.SYS if another
driver providing XMS support is already in use.) If needed, detailed
instructions are included in Chapter 2 of the on-line manual.

     Memory Commander
     ----------------
Financial Wonder is fully compatible with Memory Commander from V
Communications Inc. With an 80386 computer and 512KB extended memory,
Financial Wonder can operate with as little as a 4KB video area, and
8KB across a network. This allows Financial Wonder to operate with
over 900KB of contiguous DOS memory space, using Memory Commmander.

                                     - 4 -
     Starting Financial Wonder
     -------------------------
     1. Go to the C:\WONDER directory.

     2. Type FWSB, then ENTER or RETURN - FW for Small Business

         IMPORTANT NOTE
         --------------
The FW Professional release (see enclosed order form) allows you
to build large models. FWSB allows you to add new accounts, to
its existing 300 accounts, for testing only. FWSB is very
powerful, and includes all other features, including SAVE and
Lotus 1-2-3 export, that exist in the professional release.

     3. When the program displays the copyright notice, press ENTER
         to continue.

     4. FW stores its data (the spreadsheet file) in virtual memory.
Rather than using all available resources, FW will use only
what is needed by the user.

In loading the FW program, two opening screens will help in
this decision. The first will review your system and notify
you of available expanded memory, extended memory, and hard
drive space. In addition, FW will note the largest file that
can be allocated on your computer.

Now press ENTER to view the second screen.

You can now request FW to allocate resources. If your file is
small, there is no need to allocate memory for the maximum 5000
         financial accounts.

NOTE: For consolidation mode, enter the maximum number of
financial accounts, exclusive of duplicate account
numbers. If 100 files are to be consolidated, and each
file contains cash account #100100, this will count as
                just one financial account.

FW has a preset minimum and maximum number of accounts for each
financial statement. Using the minimum of 500 accounts will
still leave room for about 50 additional accounts in each
         financial statement.

If you use the minimum of 500 accounts, save your file, and at
a later date wish to add a couple of thousand additional
accounts, there is no problem. Just request additional memory
         resources when loading FW.

Maximum memory allocations cannot be increased while FW is
operational. However, since the additional overhead of managing
a very large allocation of memory will have some effect on speed
and possibly hard disk storage (temporary storage when sufficient
expanded and extended memory is not present), do not use five
megabytes of memory if you plan to operate only with small files.

                                     - 5 -
     5. The next display asks whether you have a monochrome or a color
display. Enter 0 for monochrome, 1 for color using a color
background, or 2 for color with a black background. (Color
selection is preselected - however all colors including a
switch between 1 and 2 can be changed while FW is being used.)

     6. Select to load a previously saved file, or to set up a new file.

     7. LOAD a Previously Saved File

If you select a previously saved file option, you will be presented
with a listing of the names of files present in the C:\WONDER\DATA
directory. Move the cursor to your selection and press F10. The
selected file will be loaded into FW, leaving you with the message
"File loaded - Press any key to continue." Press any key on the
keyboard. You are now at the main pull-down menu. Use the
left-arrow-key to move to "Screens" and press ENTER. Then use the
down-arrow-key to move to "Data Entry" and press ENTER. You are
now at the position in order for you to enter data.

Once the file has been loaded you may use any pull-down menu
         selection.

     8. New File

If you choose to create a new file, you will first be prompted for
some general information, such as the name of the Company, the
years to be forecast and the Company's month-end. All of this
information may be changed later by pulling-down the "Files" menu
         and selecting FILE INFO.

You must now set up the periods of data entry. Although the
structure chosen may be changed at a later date this may entail
considerable extra work on the part of the user, from the need
to possibly change amounts or change forecast method selections.
Press "/" when you have completed your setup.

A set of financial accounts and account numbers is created
         automatically.

You will then be presented with 100 Seasonality screens. The
         non-seasonal default values (100 percent/12 = 8.333 percent)
have been pre-selected. You may make changes representative of
your business. Seasonality may easily be changed at any time.
Press "/" when you have completed customizing seasonality. You
may chose to customize one or all 100.

Pressing F1, or other keys noted on the screen, will flip you
through each of the screens (each screen is numbered 1 to 100).

The new file setup has been completed, leaving you with the
message "Press any key to continue." Press any key on the
keyboard. You will be left at the main pull-down menu. Use the
left-arrow-key to move to "Screens" and press ENTER. Then use the
down-arrow-key to move to "Data Entry" and press ENTER. You are
now at the position in order for you to enter data. (NOTE: once
the file has been loaded you may use any pull-down menu selection.)

                                     - 6 -
                              Lotus 123 EXAMPLE

Financial Wonder can be used to produce financial reports.
Financial Wonder will also combine your General Ledger accounts,
in WK1 files, on import (summarizing your financial statements),
can create detailed easy-to-read cash reports, FASB 95 cash reports
under either the direct or indirect methods, and ratio analysis,
INSTANTLY! Full export of formal-looking financial statements to
Lotus 123 is just ONE-KEYSTROKE away.

For budgeting, we can read files from Lotus 123, and can export
budgets created within Financial Wonder back into Lotus, for import
     back into your General Ledger.

For consolidations, a full drill-down to consolidating details is
provided. Each file to be consolidated can even have its own account
structure. Amounts can be changed, and new accounts can be added.

Financial Wonder can import files from Lotus, Excel, Quattro Pro
and SuperCalc. Supplement the following instructions to use our Lotus
example (the following will only make sense if used while operating
     Financial Wonder).

     * Load the budget file named "DEMO1.WDR".

     * Press "ENTER" to pull down the "FILES" menu and select the
         pull-down option "Load/Imp/Exp."

     * Select the option "IMPORT FACILITY - Lotus Import into

FW will now process this WK1 file, displaying its progress. The
import should be fairly quick. Move to the "Screens" menu and select
     "Data Entry."

You should now see the results of the import. In this case we have
imported just two GL accounts, 50 and 5a, which have been imported
into FW accounts 100000 and 103000. The amounts within the FW accounts
were first cleared (set to $0).

                  1 50 Cash 23 24 25 26 27
                  2 5a My Assets 33 34 35 36 37

The opening B/S is 3/1989. The cash balances were entered into the
     next 5 columns.

The account description "My Assets" for account 103000 has been
     imported from the 1-2-3 file.

The balances of $27 and $37 at the end of the import period have
been extended through the end of the second and third years. It would
not have made sense to go from $27 & $37 back to $0, so the last
recorded amount was extended through the remaining periods. This
extension only applies to FW balance sheet accounts. No extensions
are performed on I/S or C/S accounts.

If we had selected to leave the existing amounts intact (not clear
the account to $0, prior to the import), then the imported balances
would be added to existing amounts, including those in the second
     and third year.

For example, if the existing cash balance was $100 for all periods
for the three years (and the account was not cleared), then the
balance at the end of the first, second and third year would have been
     $127 & $137 ($100 + $27 or $37).

     SOME FINAL THOUGHTS
     -------------------
After you have tried the above example, take a moment to look at
the "LOT1.IMP" file used in this example (Select the "Load/Imp/Exp"
menu option, then "Import Facility - Create/Modify Import/Export Setup").
The Financial Wonder import is very flexible. Each Lotus financial
account imported can be individually customized. "Copy down" commands
     can also save you time.

Once your IMP file has been created, it can be quickly used over and
over again. "Export to Lotus 1-2-3 file format" will allow you to export
your current file to Lotus 123 in the same format as the INPUT.WK1 file
used above. An example file EXPORT.WK1 is included in your
     \WONDER directory.

In addition, our menu option "Lotus Conv" will allow you to export
a complete sets of financial statements, as .WK1 files.

                            CONSOLIDATION EXAMPLE
                            ---------------------

Financial Wonder can be used to produce both consolidated and
     detailed consolidating financial reports.

A full drill-down to consolidating details is provided. Each
file to be consolidated can even have its own account structure.
Amounts can be changed, and new accounts can be added.

Financial Wonder can consolidate up to 100 files in one consolidated
level. These files may each represent companies, divisions, or
departments. The list of accounts in each file may be different.
Financial Wonder will combine amounts with similar account numbers,
and will automatically modify its account structure to handle new
sub-accounts added. This allows you to conveniently add new
sub-accounts to individual files, without the need to build a
master chart of accounts, typical of other accounting systems.

When FW performs its consolidation, it creates a special file
that stores all amounts from all of the files consolidated. When
you save a consolidated file, you are really saving two files. One
looks like a standard FW file, the second is a file containing all
of the details from each off the individual files.

Once a consolidated file is created, it will look very much like a
standard FW file, except that changes are made to the monthly amounts
instead of using formulas on quarterly and annual periods.

By moving to a cell containing an amount (in a consolidated
file), and pressing CTRL-F7, you will zoom into a spreadsheet
containing all of the details for that account. This other
spreadsheet will show the amounts obtained from the individual files
that were consolidated. In addition, if you modified amounts within
the consolidated file, those changes will be reflected as adjusting
entries in this detailed spreadsheet. Simply press ESC to return to
     your standard spreadsheet.

New sub-accounts may be added. This has no effect on the special
detail file. You will still be able to zoom down to the detail
     spreadsheet by pressing CTRL-F7.

Should you decide to enter elimination adjustments or create
different specific scenarios to your consolidated file, you may
find yourself saving several different consolidated files, each
one related to your one special detailed file. This is perfectly
acceptable. Each consolidated file will maintain the name of the
one detailed file. Once again, you need only one special detailed
file containing all of the details from each of the files consolidated.
When your consolidated file is saved, it will hold the name of the
detailed file that it related to. If you re-save the consolidated
file under another name, it will still point to that one detailed
file. Of course, each of the consolidated files can have new accounts
added, without affecting the drill-down to the detailed spreadsheet.

While you used quarterly and annual periods for data
entry in Financial Wonder's standard mode of operation, in the
consolidation mode all changes are made to the monthly screens.
                                     - 9 -
The "Calc" screen of month/quarter/annual periods is now used
to combine the monthy amounts to create period reports. The
drill-down to the detailed records will also work on the periods
     that you have set up.

This example may be performed :
     * Load the budget file named "DEMO1.WDR" (or any other file).

     * Press "ENTER" to pull down the "FILES" menu and select the
         pull-down option "Load/Imp/Exp."

     *   (OPTIONAL STEP)
Select the option "CONSOLIDATION MODE - Create/Modify
         Consolidation Setup."

Press the "F10" key to select the file CT.SET
(This file displays the 2 files selected for consolidation,
          for this example.)

Because the version "Financial Wonder for Small Business"
cannot consolidate files containing sub-accounts (the professional
releases can each handle up to 5000 financial accounts per file),
we have chosen to consolidate the demo1.wdr file twice, as
         demo2.wdr contains a number of sub-accounts.

After observing this file, ESCAPE without saving, and continue.

     * Select the option "CONSOLIDATION MODE - Create Consolidation
         File from Setup."

Press the "F10" key to select the file CT.SET

Financial Wonder will install each file, then sort all of the
account numbers from each file, and create a detailed file.
The resulting consolidation file will be created, but NOT
saved until the user selects a file name and saves the file.

     SOME FINAL THOUGHTS
     -------------------
Financial Wonder can consolidate up to 100 companies per
consolidation level. Each of these companies can have up to
5000 financial accounts, provided that the total number of
distinct account numbers from all files being consolidated
     does not exceed 5000.

In addition, consolidated files are much like other files.
Consolidated files can be included in another consolidation.
This means that 100 consolidations, each including 100 companies
can be included into a second level consolidation (10,000 companies).
These consolidations can be similarly included in a third level
of consolidation (1,000,000 companies). Financial Wonder can
handle even the largest of Fortune 500 companies, or the smallest
     of businesses.

Because you can add new accounts to consolidated files, can
change amounts for items such as elimination entries, and can
create different scenarios that can be stored as separate files,
Financial Wonder can be a marvelous tool for corporate planning.

                                OSAS EXAMPLES
                                -------------

Financial Wonder can be used to produce financial reports. Financial
Wonder will also combine OSAS General Ledger v4.1 accounts on import
(summarizing your financial statements), can create detailed easy-to-mread
cash reports, FASB 95 cash reports under either the direct or indirect
methods, and ratio analysis, INSTANTLY! Full export of formal-looking
financial statements to Lotus 123 is just ONE-KEYSTROKE away.

For budgeting, FW can read files from OSAS, and can export budgets
created within Financial Wonder back into your OSAS GLMAS file.

For consolidations, a full drill-down to consolidating details is
provided. Each file to be consolidated can even have its own account
structure. Amounts can be changed, and new accounts can be added.

Supplement the following instructions to use our OSAS examples (the
following will only make sense if used while operating Financial Wonder).

     * Load the budget file named "OSASSAMP.WDR". This is our standard
file, plus about 15 accounts have been added. Setting up this file
took less than 5 minutes. We simply pressed the "INS" key to insert
some new accounts. Since we will be importing your OSAS account
numbers, we didn't spend time entering account descriptions.

     * Press "ENTER" to pull down the "FILES" menu and select the pull-down
         option "Load/Imp/Exp."

     * Select the option "IMPORT FACILITY - OSAS Import into
         BUDGET/RPT/CONSOL file."

     * The screen's title will be "Import from Open Systems General Ledger."
(assuming the FW program is in the C:\WONDER directory), enter the
         following responses:

     the file "OSASSAMP.IMP."

                                     - 11 -
In this example, we have chosen to combine a number of OSAS expense
accounts into just three or four expense accounts within FW. We have
also chosen to summarize the 12 months of data in the OSAS GL, into
just one "Data Entry" column within FW, and to import selected OSAS
account descriptions. After this process is complete, select the
"Calculate" top-menu option, and the pull-down option "Calculate".

     THAT'S IT!

Select the top-menu "Screens", and view the "Data Entry" to see
the amounts imported from your OSAS file, and "Calc" to view the
calculated amounts. Press "F1" to change financial statements. Press
the "Left Arrow" key from the first Data Entry column to view the
     opening balances on the B/S.

You may now export to Lotus 123 formal reports ("Files" menu option,
and "Lotus Conv"), or export the raw account information to Lotus 123
("Files" then "Load/Imp/Exp", then "Lotus Export Using Setup").

     A SECOND EXAMPLE
     ----------------

     * Select the "FILES" menu, then "Blank Amounts", and clear all
amounts in the current spreadsheet (Do Not Clear Formulas).

     * Select "FILES", then "NEW STRUCT", and change the first year
from "ANNUAL" to all "MONTHLY", by pressing "M" for monthly.

     * Now pull down the "FILES" menu and select the pull-down option
"Load/Imp/Exp", then select the option "IMPORT FACILITY - OSAS
Import into BUDGET/RPT/CONSOL file." Follow the same procedures
as in the first example, except make the following change:

         If(D)-Sum Amts? If(M)-Chge to #99? : NO

Financial Wonder will now import all 12 months, plus the opening
balances, into Financial Wonder. Simply recalculate, and you have
complete sets of monthly financial statements, including cash reports
     and ratio analysis.

     SOME FINAL THOUGHTS
     -------------------

     you time.

Remember that the OSAS accounts were not input by the user. In
setting up the OSASSAMP.IMP file, Financial Wonder read your GLMSK
file, read your OSAS GLMAS account records, and sorted the account
numbers by using the same M123 sorting used by your OSAS GL.

                             --------------------

Most competitor products allow the use of one formula method for each
account. FW allows the selection of a different method for each amount
     (cell) entered.

     Types Methods
     ------------------ --------------------------
     Nonclassified # 26 to 99

Exact Balance or amount - no spreading to be considered

     Balance Sheet #101 to 164

Balance sheet types represent accumulating or growth balances.
Spreading ties together the peaks of the opening and closing
balances. For example, the opening balance for cash might be
$90 with $120 representing the balance after one Quarter
(of a year). The intervening months might show $100 and $110
establishing a line between the peaks of $90 for the opening
balance and $120 for the closing balance. Balance sheet types
represent a balance at the end of a specified period.

     Income Statement #201 to 261

Income statement types represent the total amount for that period.
An amount of $120 for one Quarter might be spread $40, $40 and $40
for each of the three monthly periods. Income statement types
represent amounts to be distributed over the period.

Cash statement method selection will entail using a combination of
the three distinct types noted above. Capital investment and
income/loss accounts will typically use income statement or
nonclassified type methods. Requests for number of shares of
capital stock will typically use nonclassified methods.

     Regular Use
     -----------
For example, if "Other Assets" had a 12/31 balance of $10,000 and was
forecast using B/S method #101 to be $20,000 at the end of the first
Quarter(3 month period), the results would be as follows:

       Jan Feb Mar
     ------- ------- -------
     $13,333 $16,667 $20,000

If "Sales" were forecast using I/S method #201 to be $10,000 for the
first Quarter, the results would be as follows:

Jan Feb Mar Total for Prd
     ----- ----- ----- ---------------
     $3333 $3334 $3333 $10,000

                                     - 15 -
     Optional Use
     ------------
To allow for total flexibility and optimum power, most formula methods
have been made available to each of the financial statement screens.

For example, if "Sales" were to be forecast using I/S method #201
as $10,000 for a selected Quarter(3 month period), the results would
     be as follows:

Jan Feb Mar Total for Prd
     ----- ----- ----- ---------------
     $3333 $3334 $3333 $10,000

However, using B/S method #101 on this I/S account would result in the
     following results:

Jan Feb Mar Total for Prd
     ----- ----- ------- ---------------
     $3333 $6667 $10,000 $20,000

The monthly results will be based on the method selected, whereas the
total for the period is based on whether the financial statement
represents a balance (B/S) or an accumulated amount (I/S or C/S).

now go directly to the "Monthly Calc" screen, and enter
the amounts into each monthly column. The user will only
be allowed to enter amounts into cells reflective of a
data entry cell with a formula method of #99.
