Executive Desk v4.2 Dialer Update Release Note

If you are using Windows for Workgroup ver 3.11
or PCMCIA 14.4/14.4 Modem with 16550 UART, this
may cause the system to hang when you use the 
Executive Desk dialer to dial a phone number.

Nature of Problem
-----------------
You may be able to make one connection after starting
Windows, but subsequent connections may hang your system.
   
Solution to the Problem
-----------------------
Your distribution disk contains a file COMM.DRV.
Exit from Windows and 
Copy this COMM.DRV file to  WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. 

The driver checks for 16550 UART, and if it is not of
correct type it will not enable the FIFOs.
