Opening Format

by Tony Curro

Spring may be just around the corner, but earlier in February we had one
of the worst storms in years. More than a week has passed, and there are
still mounds of snow.

We mentioned last month that we are on America OnLine. As of yet, they
have not posted the files. They had them up one day, and they removed
them. I understand that they are awaiting a conference for CTM. I would
appreciate anyone who reads this, and is on AOL, that they drop a line
to PC Glenn, and mention that you heard CTM was available in the Telecom
Forum but that you cannot find it. Maybe it will get them moving.
Thanks.

Speaking of online services. We are now on CompuServe. You will find CTM
in the IBMBBS Forum there. It is usually posted several days after the
upload.

This month we have several products that should interest you. First off
we have a column by a renowned radio and TV personality, columnist, and
host of The Komputer Clinic on AOL. Some of Kim Komando's products,
namely instructional tapes, have been reviewed in the New York Times.
We have her year-end thoughts about the computer industry.

Other products this month includes:

* CD-ROM -- MegaMovie Guide, and Hell Cab.
* Software -- HelpEdit, Claris Works, QAPlus for Windows, MS Word 6.0 for
Windows, MS Word Assistant.
* Hardware -- FlashDisk
* Books -- Smileys

HelpEdit is the program I use to create the Windows version of CTM.

I will step aside and let you get on with the magazine. Until next
month, keep the sunny side up...

Tony Curro...
