                     ComputerTalk Magazine by Mail

                             by Tony Curro

This marks the 20th issue of the magazine. Last month we decided to
start a mail subscription service. Users and SYSOPs can participate in
this subscription service.

We have two options available. You can either receive the standard BBS
version, which is TOC compliant, or you can rreceive the NEW CTM Windows
version. The Windows version is in Windows HLP format. This can be
viewed by any Windows user. The file uses WINHELP.EXE that is a part of
MS Windows 3.1.

The Windows version contain one HLP file. Enclosed in that file is the
complete magazine, with additional, and better quality graphics, than
the standard BBS version. Using the Windows version, users can double
click on an article name and quickly zoom to that article. We also will
have defintions, or glossary, of terms in the articles. For example:
many may not know what PCMCIA stands for. You will after reading CTM for
Windows.

CTM is currently received by almost 275 BBS throughout the US, Canada,
and overseas. We are also in the Telcomputing & Netowrk Forum (keyowrd:
telecom) on America OnLine. We are very pleased with the reception that
we have been receiving. Each month we add several new boards to the
list.

The cost of this mail service is $27.00 a year, for either the standard
BBS version, or the Windows version. SYSOPs can get both version for
$45.00 a year. Most of this is to defray the cost of mailers, disks,
postage, shipping and handling. SYSOPs MUST pre-register me on their
board, in the event I wish to contact them. Please fill in appropriate
areas in the ORDER.CTM form that is included in the issue.

Please see the enclosed file ORDER.CTM for form.
