                             Opening Format

With the terrible cold and snow here in NYC, I decided to stay in and
keep warm. I am currently working on a Windows HLP version of CTM. This
version will have hypertext, graphics and more. All Windows users are
able to view this file by using WINHELP.EXE which is a part of the MS
Windows 3.1 package. It is one file. All the user has to do is
double-click on the issue, and it will be presented in Windows. Then, by
using hypertext, you click on the article you want to read, and it will
jump to that article. Clicking on one button returns you to the main
screen where you can select another option. You can also search by
keywords, and, in most issues, there will be definitions of acronyms
like ASCII, PCMCIA, etc. to help the user better understand computer
lingo. I am very excited about this product. The Windows edition will be
available by subscription only. As of this writing no price has been set
for this distribution. SYSOPs can also get this version to post on their
boards. It should be available next month. Anyone interested, please
drop me a line. See MAGAZINE INFO on how to contact me. There are
several options available.

We are also excited about another event that has happened this month. We
have become associated with America OnLine. AOL has a Telecommunications
Conference (keyword: telecom). In that conference there is a newsletters
area. We have been in contact with the host of this area, and have sent
ALL 20 issues of CTM to him. He will be creating a section there for
CTM, and make all issues available. You can reach me there at: TonyCTM.
Those not on AOL can contact me at: TonyCTM@aol.com, or on CompuServe at
73733,3305.

The reviews this month include:

Hardware: HP 100LX, and UMAX scanner add-ons, and a comparison on Avery
Personal Label Printer and Seiko Label Printer Pro.

Software: Four Golf Course for Links, etc., The AddressBook, UnInstaller
2 for Windows, Print Shop Deluxe Companion, QmodemPro for Windows and a
review on CTM by Mail. Also, this month I have a mini-review of MS
Publisher 2.0 CD-ROM at the end of the News, Updates and Upgrades
column.

ShareWare: We take a look at some card games for both DOS and Windows,
by Randy Rasa.

I will step aside now, and let you get on with the magazine. One more
thing before I go. You may see a date on the top line of the article:
eg. 2/94, etc. This is for those using CTMViewer to zoom in on the
release date of the article. Keep it here for up to date information on
CTM. We are reaching new areas in both development and distribution.
Until next month...

Tony Curro...
