Introduction
============

Clock Talk was originally written for my own business. I wanted to have
a program that would announce the time to me while I was busy doing other
things, either on the computer or in the other room. I had a sound card,
so I figured there had to be a program out there that would be just what
I was looking for.

I found a few that were pretty good, but not exactly what I wanted.
Other than some features they were missing, they seemed to take a lot of my
system resources to run. System resources are not something that I take lightly.
So Clock Talk was born.

Clock Talk is a Microsoft Windows program whose purpose is to announce the time of
day along with many other features. It uses digitized human speech reproduced
through a sound card or by using Microsoft's Speaker Driver for 286 - 486
computers. The program will function in all Windows modes: Real, Standard, or
Enhanced.

9/16/96: Ver 1.2 beta
- Fixed error 'MCI NOT OPEN' which occurred when a CD alarm was stopped.

  by this error.
