                        COUNTRY CALENDAR
                              by
                       Chris Christensen

This program is keyed to Windows 3.1 because of True Type fonts and
developed on Excel ver 3.0. It should work just as good on Excel ver 4.0

The calendar is automatically filled out with the month, year, and places
all the days in their appropriate boxes, regardless of what month and year
you want. The top of the calendar has a fence, with a cow, a sheep, a pig,
and a duck standing in front of it. It is real country.

If you have the Microsoft True Type Font package installed which include
Lucida Handwriting and Lucida Calligraphy, load the worksheet CALNDRTT.XLS
into Excel. If you don't have the True Type Font package with these fonts,
load worksheet CALNDR.XLS into Excel.

CALNDR.XLS has the following fonts established:
Weekdays - Script size 24 Bold
Month & Year - CG Times size 20 Bold
Numbers - CG Times size 18 Bold

CALNDRTT.XLS has the following fonts established:
Weekdays - Lucida Calligraphy size 14 Bold
Month & Year - Lucida Handwriting size 16 Bold
Numbers - Lucida Handwriting size 14 Bold

Calboard.xls is also an Excel program, which idenifies the board
that the calendar should be used with. The two dowels hold the calendar
pages, and two hearts with 1/4" holes, slip over the dowels to hold the pages
in place. I've seen similar items sold for $25.00, with no page dating. This
can be made for close to nothing, and given for gifts. With several years
worth of calendar pages, I will add a last page that will state in the center
of the page: "Calendar by Chris" please contact me for additional pages.
Heck, you could even put a reminder on the page when your birthday is. I
recommend staining the board after it is sanded, using two coats of stain, and
NOT using any polyurethane or varnish - just plain old stain. After all, this
is a country calendar, and it will look more authentic with no shiny finish.
The stain coats will seal the wood anyway.

If you can use this program, it is only fitting that you help contribute to
my efforts. Please send $5.00 to:

To make a calendar, enter the date in cell E1, such as 04/01/93, for
April 1, 1993. The key is to include the day of the month as 01, i.e.
12/01/92 or 10/01/94. The month "text" is automatically entered, as well
as the day numbers, based upon the entry in cell E1. Good Luck!
