CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING RETURNS TO

BALLY'S PARK PLACE WITH A WINNING

WEEKEND COMBINATION

Atlantic City, NJ --- Bally's Park Place heats up this summer with the
hottest blockbuster fights on back-to-back nights! On Friday, August 25 at
Bally's Park Place, Alex Zolkin defends his NABF heavyweight title against
veteran, Tony Tubbs. On Saturday, August 26 at the Convention Center hosted
by Bally's park Place, Pernell "Sweet Pea" whitaker returns to Atlantic City
to defend his WBC welterweight title, and more importantly, his "pound-for-
pound" title against mandatory challenger, Gary Jacobs.

Alec Zolkin, originally from Moscow, Russia, made his pro debut in 1990 and
has proven himself in the boxing world with his intense work ethic and
training regime. This will be the second time Zolkin and tubbs have entered
the ring together, and Zolkin plans to even the score. Zolkin was 14-0 when
he faced Tubbs but lost in a tough 10-round decision that made the young
fighter even more determined to let the heavyweight world know he was a
fighter who could meet the challenge. Since the first loss, Zolkin has done
just that by continuing to assert himself in the heavyweight division and now
holds the NABF heavyweight title.

Tony Tubbs, hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, made his pro debut in 1980 and has
compiled quite a strong fight record by knocking out over half the opponents
he has faced. The seasoned veteran and former WBA world heavyweight champion
brings his skill and experience to the ring. Tubbs faced Andre Crowder this
past March and won by KO in the first round. Tubbs is a fighter who has
proven he can go the distance or take an opponent out early with his power.
Tubbs is looking to win another heavyweight title on August 25.

In Whitaker's last outing, he thrilled the Atlantic City crowd by hammering
away at the gargantuan Julio Cesar Vasquez to capture his sixth world title
in four weight classes. Shortly after the bout, Whitaker relinquished his
newly won WBA junior middleweight belt to return to the welterweight
division. That victory on March 4th increased the 31-year old southpaw's pro
mark to 35-1-1 with 15 knockouts.

Jacobs has shown the patience of a saint. Despite a marvelous record of 41-5
with 23 knockouts, the Glasgow, Scotland native is receiving his first world
title opportunity after 10 years as a professional. The 29-year old southpaw
is the current European welterweight champion and #1 contender status by the
WBC.

Tickets for the Zolkin-Tubbs bout at Bally's Park Place on Friday, August 25
are 425. The 12-round title bout will be the featured attraction of the six
fight card with the main event to be televised live on ESPN at 9:30 PM.

Tickets for the Whitaker-Jacobs bout on Saturday, August 26 at the Convention
center are priced ar $200, $75, $50 and $25. The 12-round title bout hosted
by Bally's Park Place will be televised live on Home Box office at 10 PM. All
tickets are available at the Bally's Park Place Show Reservation Desk in the
Hotel Lobby, all TicketMaster outlets or by calling TicketMaster at 1-800-736-

STEP BACK INTO HISTORY AT BALLY'S PARK PLACE

WITH THE SHOWING OF "THE ATLANTIC CITY EXPERIENCE"

Atlantic City, NJ --- Bally's Park Place's newest entertainment undertaking -
"The Atlantic City Experience" - premiered earlier this month in The Park
Cabaret Theater enabling visitors to re-live the magnificent history of
Atlantic City from the turn of the century through its evolution into the
90's with casino gambling and superstar entertainment events.

Executive Producer John Stuart (famed creator of "Legends In Concert"), was
inspired for this film through his discovery of Vicki Gold-Levi & Lee
Eisenberg's book entitled "Atlantic City: 125 Years of Ocean Madness" (Ten
Speed Press, 1995). In keeping with the book, "The Atlantic City Experience"
chronicles the birth of America's Favorite Playground from the creation of
the country's first boardwalk to the bizarre boardwalk acts (such as the
boxing kangaroo and the diving horse) to the history of salt water taffy and
the Easter Parade. This multi-media movie spans the decades to fully capture
the tradition of Atlantic City and is a free one-half hour production for
guests.

Ken Condon, Vice President of Marketing, explains, "The Atlantic City
Experience" is truly a delight to see for anyone who has ever visited
Atlantic City, and Bally's Park place is proud to present this film feature
free to all our visitors daily."

"The Atlantic City Experience" showtimes have been expanded due to its

Arlantic City, NJ --- Beginning June 21, "Legends In Concert," Atlantic
City's most popular entertainment revue will be the home of the hottest names
in show business--Madonna, Elton John and The Blues Brothers.

Joining an unforgettable cast, which includes Elvis, Tina Turner and Whitney
Houston, will be our new Legends--Kim Kanitz as the material girl, Madonna;
Even Stephen rockin' in his role as the outrageous Elton John; and Kevin
Baker and Roger Areson as the dynamic Blues Brothers duo.

"To kick off our summer entertainment schedule, we've introduced these four
hot new performers," said Ken Condon, Bally's Vice President. "We're
delighted to have these new acts join the world's most popular revue and
make Bally's their new home."

saw Kim perform the classic hit, "Holiday," he knew a new American music
icon was born.
