bmpsaver.scr, Ver 1.3
Bitmap Saver, Windows 3.1 Screen Saver
Freeware, Copyright (C) 1995 Phil Robinson

Here is a free little screen saver for all to enjoy. It flashes,
slides, or displays bitmap files around the screen. The setup window
keeps a list of the bitmaps. You can select to use only some files
from the list or use all of them.

Two bitmap files are included:
  Lunch.bmp - A gone to lunch message (16 Color)
  Neptune.bmp - The planet Neptune (256 color)

Installation:

Copy the bmpsaver.scr file to your Windows directory.
Make sure that spin.dll and ctl3d.dll are in a directory in your
program search path (usually c:\windows or c:\windows\system).
Be careful not to overwrite more recent versions of these files.

Use the Desktop applet in the Control Panel to select the screen
saver called Bitmap Saver. Press the Screen Saver setup button
to bring up the configuration screen. Add files to the list
using the Browse... button.

Known Bugs:

- I don't believe that this program will work with bitmap files that
  have more than 256 colors.

- This program uses a rather picky algorithm to read the bitmap file.
If there is an error reading the file the program will display the
HHG green guy instead. You can usually correct the bitmap file
by reading it into paintbrush and then saving it again.

- The Clear Screen mode does not look very good with 256 color
bitmaps on a display in 256 color mode, due to the palette
  switching.
