3-9-95 DosFax

If you have an AFC,AFX,Pkt(2400) or 14.4 RPI faxmodem then pick
Class-1 fax in DosFax.

Dosfax is used much like a printer driver. You load FAXCOM then load
FAXCAP (they both can also be put at the end of your Autoexec.bat to load
when you boot or make a bat file to load and 2nd to remove) and then go to
whatever software you want to create the fax in. A word processor or even a
paint program. Before you 'print' the created document, you select either
an Epson FX85 (FX80, RX80) driver or a HP Laser IIP in that application,
and the matching Dosfax driver in the 'converter'. Dosfax can only fax
fonts you SEND TO the printer (like Dos TrueType). It cannot FAX Epson or
HP fonts! It will try to approximate those fonts, but they will not fax the
same as they are printed. Then use the HOT-KEYS (see p.3-4 3-5 in the
DosFax manual) to capture, then Print in your application and Dosfax will
capture it. Then you get a window and then FAX the document. You can use
LPT1. See chapter 3 for complete info.
To load HIGH, put the two TSRs in your autoexec.bat then run Memmaker
(Dos 6.x) Put C:\dosfax in your PATH statement.
Delrina gave us this string: AT&F&C1&D2S7=90S95=44&K4\
                         (non-V-series leave OFF s95=44&K4)
     Reset: AT&F+FCLASS=0 (to data mode)

If Dosfax does not have your EXACT printer listed, then a rec'vd fax
may print with spaces, lines or other irregularities. Rec'vd faxes are
graphics, so Dosfax prints to your printer in graphic mode, not text. If
you have other printing trouble, try entering MODE LPT1:,,P at the Dos
prompt. If that works, you can put that line in your Autoexec.bat.

If you have trouble with CAPTURE, with sending a fax or computer
locking, it's probably another TSR or device driver. Try 'REM' them in your
config.sys / autoexec.bat files. Run Dos Memmaker (Dos 6.x) to balance
memory.
>>> Also, DOS-fax is what it is, not Windows (try Winfax or Bitfax for
Windows)
>>> DOsfax is not supplied to be used on a LAN. We have no experience in
using any software we supply on a LAN and cannot help you. Sorry...

To stop a fax goto sheduled events and delete the event.

There 'may' be a problem with right justified lines printing twice. We
have seen one instance of it (WP 5.1). Try spaces at the end, or line up on
columns. We have reported to Delrina.
