      ACCUFAX SERVERS

      Product Description

AccuFax is the complete high performance automated
      multi-line/multi-unit fax server solution for
medium to large size businesses and institutions.
These complexes are suitable for computer
controlled distribution of both individual and
bulk printed material that traditionally has been
      mailed.

      Advantages

AccuFax is an economical and attractive
alternative to mailing services in todays fast
      paced business environment.

Faxing eliminates costs for postage, paper,
      printing, envelopes, assembly, handling and
storage. At only pennies per page, a complete
AccuFax system costs about the same as laser
printer toner alone. This is less than 10% of an
equivalent mailing. Pay for AccuFax and you still
keep over 90% of your normal costs as savings. On
the other hand, you can choose to spend the same
amount to do more. The choice is yours to make.

Of course, time is money too, and AccuFax is much
faster than traditional mailings. Not only in
delivery time, but there is no waiting for print
production and mail preparation. Faxes are sent
directly from your electronic storage media.

Digital faxing offers clear, crisp, near laser
printer quality images that cannot be matched by
ordinary fax machines. AccuFax uses a resolution
of 200 dots per inch in its standard mode. Best
of all, it is completely automatic, no labour is
      required.

      Applications include information bulletins,
      customer statements, value added services,
      newsletters, press releases, etc. Almost
everything you currently send by mail.

Spend less money, do it faster, do it better!

      Features

AccuFax is carefully engineered and tested for
maximum reliability, ease of use and efficiency.

Page files are converted and buffered locally to
minimise network traffic and maximise speed. Fax
queues are committed on every transaction in case
of network failure. Intelligent rescheduling means
calls to busy lines are rescheduled to a latter
time when the line is more likely to be available.
Source files are locked in sharing mode to protect
availability. Auto detect of network errors has
been implemented with unattended reset and dynamic
reattach capabilities. System and user logs are
available for confirmation as well as a system
console monitor screen. Central monitoring for
      remote diagnostics is built in.

Electronic forms capability is included. Users can
keep a standard library of custom electronic forms
that simulate purchase orders, letterhead, invoices,
et cetera. These forms can be overlaid on anything
that is sent out to present a truly professional
appearance. The forms can be full page, containing
any combination of graphics and text.

      Product Capacity

AccuFax is available in a wide range of capacities
      to suit your individual needs.

Versions are available that control 1 to 500 lines.

A single fully configured complex has a capacity
of 500 fax lines. This is the equivalent of 30,000
      high resolution pages per hour.

There is no limit to the number of complexes that
      may be installed.

      Software Compatibility

Users can send faxes using either of two
interfaces. Any application program or programming
language capable of writing ordinary text files can
control the character based interface. Addressing
information can be extracted from existing data to
      control the faxing process.

Word processors, DBMS's, e-mail systems and custom
applications can all make use of this interface
effectively to become fax enabled systems.

AccuFax will accept and convert ascii, pcx, HP
Laserjet and Epson format files containing any
combination of text and graphics. If it can be
      printed, it can be faxed.

      Hardware Compatibility

AccuFax systems may be installed on any computer
network capable of providing DOS based file
services on PC, mini or mainframe servers.

Systems can be configured to serve multiple
      networks simultaneously. Wide area network
      support is available.

Suitable environments include Novell Netware, Lan
Manager, Vines, Lantastic, Unix, DEC Pathworks,
      AS/400, IBM mainframe.
