PRODUCT:	WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS
SUBJECT:	Screen Fonts Troubleshooting

TROUBLESHOOTING

NOTE: Before starting on this on TS guide, if the problem is that the fonts
do not display or print correctly, it is a font problem as opposed to a
screen font problem. The Document Font Mapping Table (Ctrl+F8, Shift+F1,
D) may be helpful.

1.	Always check the Screen Font Mapping Table First! This Table
allows the user to assign ANY Screen Font to ANY Printer Font. The Screen
Font Mapping Table is found under Ctrl+F8, Shift+F1, S. Try changing
mappings for the fonts in question. Type 1, Speedo, TrueType, Autofonts,
and Intellifonts can all be used as screen fonts.

2.	Verify that font files (*.SPD, *.WFW, *.PFM, *.TYP *.TTF, etc...)
exist in appropriate directories as they are shown in Location of Files and
Screen Font Data Files (Shift+F1, L, S). Make sure each of these listings
has an asterisk next to it for those screen fonts to be available.

3.	What third-party package do the problem fonts come from? Were they
installed with WPFI.EXE (Ctrl+F8, Shift+F1, I) or by a third-party company?

4.	Rename the WP.DRS file and then run the WP 6.0 install program to
reinstall a new one and add the fonts again.

Note: If the customer is having a problem in the International version of
the product, try having him/her duplicate the problem in the latest US
version of the product. If you can duplicate the problem in the US
version, put the US date as the date of the product when writing an STR.

MATERIALS TO BE SENT IN WITH AN STR

1.	Unless the operator can duplicate the problem, document and font
files that can duplicate the problem need to be sent in from the customer.
2.	System files and hardware information or MSD Report. 3.	Complete
customer information.
