PRODUCT:	WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS
SUBJECT:	Record/Play Macro Troubleshooting Guide

TROUBLESHOOTING
1.	What does the manual or other reference material indicate should
happen? Tip - the manual is in Folio (-MANUALS).
2.	Did the same functionality/concept apply to WP 5.1 for DOS? If the
same results occurred in WP 5.1, then an enhancement request will
        need to be logged.
3.	Is a macro running or being recorded when the problem is encountered? Exit WP 6.0 and start over again to see if the customer gets the same results.
4.	Does the problem occur in Text mode as well as Graphics mode?
	A.	Does the user have enough memory to use Graphics mode?
	B.	Is the problem a display issue?
	C.	If you get different results in Text vs. Graphics mode then
                log an STR.
5.	Is the problem related to the way the macro has been written
(USER ERROR)? Is the problem related to an error in the macro
language? Does the macro play back differently than it was recorded?
	A.	Are there any syntax errors in the macro?
	B.	Will the macro compile without error?
	C.	Narrow the macro to the point of failure by doing the
                following:
		1.	Have you displayed the contents of variables used in
                        conditional statements?
		2.	Have you played the macro using the Step On and/or
                        Speed commands?
		3.	What are the results if the user performs the macro
                        operations manually?
6.	Can you duplicate the problem? If so, in the STR, please include
all steps (exact keystrokes required) to duplicate the problem and
submit the file(s) where the problem occurs. Any missing
keystrokes or files will slow the process of answering the
customer's problem and getting new information into Folio.

Note: If the customer is having a problem in the International version of
the product, try having him/her duplicate the problem in the latest US
version of the product. If you can duplicate the problem in the US
version, put the US date as the date of the product when writing an STR.

REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR AN STR 1.	Customer information. 2.
Memory information. 3.	AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files. 4.	Information
from Troubleshooting steps above.

MATERIALS TO BE SENT WITH AN STR Send the macro and any other document(s)
needed to duplicate the problem. If a document is included, Problem
Resolution must have the .PRS file to ensure file format integrity. All of
these files MUST be on a disk. Problem Resolution Specialists will not
transfer information from faxes to disk.

SUGGESTED FOLIO KEYWORDS: macro*, compile, play, record
