TITLE: Wrapping Text Around Graphics (Enhancement)
PRODUCT: WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS

Enhancement
You can now wrap text around the contour of irregularly-shaped
graphics rather than around the outline of the graphics box. You
can also wrap text around both sides of a graphic at the same
time without using columns.

Concept
The graphics features of WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS have been
greatly enhanced. You now have several options for wrapping text
around graphics. Text can now be wrapped around the contour of a
graphic rather than around the outline of a graphics box. You
can also specify which sides of the graphic you want the text to
wrap around.

How Do I Use It?
This example will show you how to wrap text around an
irregularly-shaped graphic, and how to have the text display on
both sides of the graphic.

1 Retrieve a document you have previously created, or type a
paragraph of text that takes up at least three to four
     inches on the page.

2 Choose Graphics Boxes from the Graphics menu, or press
Graphics (Alt+F9) and choose Graphics Boxes (1).

3 Choose Create (1).

4 Choose Filename (1), then enter the name of the graphic you
want to use. If you don't remember the directory or
filename, use File List (F5) or QuickList (F6) to find the
     file, then choose Retrieve.

5 Choose Text Flow Around Box (T).

6 Choose Text Flows (1).

You can see the various options for wrapping text around a
graphic. For this example, set the text to wrap around both
sides of the image.

7 Scroll down the list to find On Both Sides. Press Enter
     when it is highlighted.

8 Choose Text Flow Around Box (T), then choose Contour Text
     Flow (2).

Selecting Contour Text Flow will automatically remove the border
around the graphics box.

9 Choose OK to return to your document editing screen.

The graphic has been inserted into your text. The text will
follow the contour of the image, and will display on both sides
of the graphic.

There are two ways to see the changes you have made. You can
view the document using Print Preview, or you can switch to
graphics mode and also be able to edit the document.

To view the graphic in Print Preview,

1 Choose Print/Fax from the Print menu or press Print/Fax
     (Shift+F7).

2 Choose Print Preview (7).

To switch to graphics mode,

1 Choose Graphics Mode from the View menu, or press Switch
     (Ctrl+F3) and choose Graphics (3).

The document will appear in graphics mode. In this mode, you can
move the graphic around the screen and watch the text change
around it.

1 Click on the graphic and hold the mouse button down.

2 Move the graphic to a new location on the page, then release
     the mouse button.

The screen will rewrite to wrap the text around the graphic
again.
