TITLE: Personal and Shared Macro File Directories
(Enhancement)
PRODUCT: WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS

Enhancement
You can now set up personal and shared directories for your
macros.

Concept
The Location of Files feature in WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS will
allow you to set up personal and shared directories for macro
files. Each user on a network can now access their personal
macros as well as macros stored in a shared directory on the
network.

Having the ability to specify a separate network directory for
macros will also allow you to store the Keyboard Layout files in
the network path, while still allowing users to create their own
macros.

When you invoke a macro command, WordPerfect looks for the macro
in these four places in this order:

         1 The default directory
2 The personal macro directory (as set up under Location
                 of Files)
3 The shared macro directory (as set up under Location of
                 Files)
4 The directory where the WP.EXE file is located

How Do I Use It?
To specify macro directories in Location of Files,

1 Press Setup (Shift+F1), then choose Location of Files (5).

2 Choose Macros/Keyboards/ButtonBar (2).

3 Designate a specific Personal Path (1), Shared Path (2), or
both. Press Enter after you type each path.

When you have finished designating paths,

4 Choose OK twice to return to the Setup menu.

5 Choose Close to return to the document editing screen.
