Greetings to all VGA Planets fans!

This archive contains VPA (VGA Planets Assistant), a utility that is
aimed to simplify VGA Planets situation analysis and decision making
process without requiring additional machine resources. VPA is a custom
client program, 100% compatible with VGA Planets 3.xx by Tim Wisseman.
It has a lot of handy features, some of them are unique and unlikely
to be ever implemented in other VGAP utilities.

VPA requires presence of PLANETS.EXE or REG.KEY (WinPlan) file in order
to make registered game features accessible for you.

VPA works under plain MS-DOS on any 286 or better machine with any VGA
compatible video adapter. VPA runs very fast even on slow computers.

VPA is under permanent development/improvement. Several major versions
were released in 1993-96, and I hope to support this project in the
future, because I love to play VGA Planets too <g>.

Some features are not implemented at this point, but even the current
version, I hope, can make it significantly easier to play VGA Planets
(at least, it does for me <g>).

I'm not a great doc writer, and all VPA docs are very concise. In any
VPA screen you can press F1 to get a complete list of hot keys active
in that particular screen. Many useful feature descriptions can be also
found in the program history files (WHATSNEW.nnn and WHATSNEW.OLD).

                                                Live Long And Prosper!

                                                                  Alex
