KSAs (70 characters wide max):

KSAs stand for Knowledge Skills & abilities. KSA's that are
greater than 70 characters in length, need to be keyed in as
KSA_LONGS (see below). Every KSA that you key in, takes up at
least 70 characters, so you might as well not use abbreviations
or scrimp on words.
WORD ORDER; FROM GENERAL TO SPECIFIC.
We try to use the Ramist method of classifying KSA's, which includes
listing Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities in order from General to
Specific. So for example, if you are a Brain surgeon, you would list
that KSA as MD, SURGEON, BRAIN, since MD is the general category of
your employment, surgeon is a subset of all MD's, & Brain is your
specialization (subset of MD's working with Brains). Some class-
ifications could to either way, e.g. Pharmaceutical Sales could be
listed as SALES, PHARMACEUTICAL, or PHARMACEUTICAL, SALES.

To save and exit, press <F2>. To quit without saving, press <ESC>.
To get to the next field, use the <Tab> key.

While in this window, active keys include <PAGEUP>, <PAGEDOWN>,
<HOME>, <END>, To go to the next Personal KSA, since each KSA takes
up 2 pages, you must press <PageUP> twice, (to go to the preceding
KSA), press <Page Down> to go to the next KSA.

<F6> to key in up to 70 char's for a search string, then press
<Enter>, this will cause your KSA file to be searched from the top
down to the first existing record it comes to in the file, that has
your search string. You need to press <Alt Z> to continue searching
the rest of the KSA file for more occurrences of your search string.
Merely pressing <F6> again will simply start the search from the top
again, & you may think there is only one occurrence of your search
string in the entire file.

Do not press <ESC> unless you want to lose all your changes & add-
itions this session, i.e. (that you have made since you last took
this EDIT menu option.) If you press <F2>, the program will save all
your changes & additions up to this point, & exit to the KSA Menu.
