                               SURVIVOR!

HISTORY:
You have entered the world of the distant future. In the
future wealthy men find strange ways to amuse themselves. One
of the more interesting ways is playing the game of 'SURVIVOR'.

A un-populated world is found, and a forty square mile arena is
surrounded by a thick radioactive barrier. Each person wishing
to play Survivor is given a self-repairing base of operations,
and control of five special all-terrian tanks.

The base of operations will automatically repair any tanks
entering the base, as well as re-supply them with missles and
mines. If a tank is destroyed, the cybernetic mind in control
of the base will automatically create a replacement tank.

Winning at Survivor is easy. Simply track down your opponents
base of operations, and capture the base with one of your
tanks. The winner of the game is the person with the most
         bases.

TANKS:
         * Range | Each tank has a limited range of movement. As you
capture bases, the range will increase. If you exhaust the
tanks range, you will need to wait 24 hours to move the tank
           again.

         * Mines __ | Each tank can carry a minimum of 10 mines. Capacity
will increase with captured bases. Mines are active as soon
as you move from the location you have dropped them, and will
then appear in your battle monitor. Only your mines will be
visible. Enemy mines CANNOT be detected!

         * Missles | Each tank can carry a minimum of 10 missles.
Capacity will increase with captured bases. Missles should
only be fired at enemy tanks, they will do no harm to enemy
bases. To damage an enemy tank, you must fire from the
proper range. It is possible for a missile to overshoot, or
undershoot a target. Fire again from a different range.

TERRIAN:
Every arena will consist of up to seven different types of
terrain. Each terrain will require different amount of fuel to
         move through them.

         * Highways are the easiest terrian to travel. Highways
have a movement factor of one.

         * Grassy Plains are a little more difficult. Plains have a
           movement factor of two.

         * Forest is pretty slow going. Forest has a movement factor
           of three.

         * Hills can be a bit of a climb. Hills have a movement
           factor of four.

         * Mountains are really tough. Mountains have a movement
           factor of five.

         * Water will really slow you down. Water has a movement
           factor of six.

         * Radioactive waste is impossible to move through.

COMMANDS:
         * M | Will drop a mine at the present location of your tank.
The mine will become active, and appear in the battle
               monitor after you have moved.
         * F | Will load a missle for firing. To fire the missle,
indicate the direction you wish to fire, using the
key-pad or N,S,W,E. The battle monitor will inform you
of any hits. If you are out of range, move your tank and
               try again.
         * W | Time Warp is a new and not fully tested technology. When
working, it will transport the tank you are currently in
control of, back to Central Command. This command will
randomly work from one to three times a day.
This command is available only on registered versions.
         * B | Will switch the base you use for Command Central.
Command Central is the base that you will Warp to, and is
also the base that will generate new tanks, should one of
yours be destroyed. To use this command you must be in
               one of your bases.
This command is available only on registered versions.
         * T | This command will allow you to switch to controlling any
of your five tanks. Only one tank can be controled at
any given moment. The battle monitor will highlight the
               tank you are currently controling.
         * Q | Ends your mission.
         * H | Either 'H', or '?' will display a short on-line help
               screen.

INCREASING
TANK
CAPACITY :
Each of your five tanks will have a limited range and
carrying capacity when you begin playing. As you progress,
and capture bases, your increased industrial capabilities
will allow each tank to be upgraded to carry more missiles,
and mines, and to go further when scouting.
This feature is available only in registered versions.

BATTLE
MONITOR :
The battle monitor will supply each commander with complete
information to assist in searching out enemy bases, and
destroying enemy tanks. In a grid on your left, the monitor
will display the coordinates to Command Central, as well as the
coordinates for each of your tanks, and the fuel each tank has
         left.

The center monitor grid will display a five mile by five mile
section of the battle arena. The location of the tank you
currently control will be in the center grey grid.

The right grid will display all command input, as well as the
number of mines and missiles each tank is carrying. It will
also display the amount of damage each tank has suffered.

Directly beneath the central grid, the type of terrian will be
displayed. Beneath that, will be your name as commander. An
additional grid beneath your name will show the name of the
         enemy you are attacking.
