VOLCANIC

The flaming red lava, the mountains blood
Thunders forth in a roaring flood
A ring of flame
weds
Mountain to vale
Its terribly frightening beauty raining
Ash and stone
Fire and smoke
Among the aging oak trees
A raging fire
Sweeps
Through the land
Carrying death and destruction
A blackened stretch
Of worthless land
Is all that remains
Of what moments before
Was majestic beauty
Beauty may die:
But hope will be
Eternal.
Forever in the hearts of men
Rebuilding, Replanting, Living
Again.
