These instructions supplement and clarify the program documentation for
SBT Pro Series, Version 3.0i.

In case of a conflict between the information in the manuals and this file,
you should use the information in this file. In addition, after starting
Pro Series you should review the information under the Late-Breaking News
help topic. To find this information, go to the Help menu, select Program
Topics, then select "Late-Breaking News."

For easy reference, the following text includes each subject's title
underlined in the upper left-hand corner of the screen or page.

 * NOTE: To print this file, type PRINTME <Enter> at the DOS prompt.

Converting from Previous Versions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As of its initial release, Pro Series 3.0 supports conversion from
VisionPoint and Pro Series 2.5. Support for conversion from Series Six
Plus, Series Seven, and Pro Series 2.0 will be available in the near
future.
Company 99
~~~~~~~~~~
When you are setting up new companies, you can only use company numbers
1-98.

Company 99, which is the sample data company, has been programmed to use
the date of June 23, 1995. When you select Company 99, your system date
is automatically set to June 23, 1995. This allows you to enter current-
period transactions when trying out new features or training new employees.

CONFIG.FPW Settings
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The MVCOUNT line in your CONFIG.FPW file should read as follows:
   MVCOUNT=1500
The CONFIG.FPW file supplied by SBT contains this setting.
If you are running Pro Series for Windows on a computer with 16 Mb of RAM,
your MEMLIMIT setting in CONFIG.FPW should be:
   MEMLIMIT=60,8192,10000
If your machine has more memory, you can increase these values.  Refer to
your FoxPro documentation for recommendations.
Installing Pro Series 3.0 for Windows and DOS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have purchased both the Windows and DOS versions of Pro Series 3.0,
you can install both and then run Pro Series under either platform. To
install both versions, you must first run either the DOS install program
or the Windows setup program and complete the entire installation process
for all the applications you are installing. You can install either version
first.

Once you have installed all of your applications, you can "activate" your
installation for the other platform by running INSTALL (to add DOS support)
or SETUP (to add Windows support). When you reach the main install screen,
select EXIT. You do not need to reinstall all of your applications in
order to activate the second platform.

The hard disk capacity requirements for Pro Series 3.0 are as follows:

Multi-User:
 > 16 Mb available for System Manager
 > 4 Mb available for each additional application
