USER INSTRUCTIONS:
SACRED ANIMALS - WINDOWS SCREEN SAVER

Your screen saver program has been installed into the
Windows Desktop of the Control Panel. BE CERTAIN YOUR
MONITOR IS SET TO 256 COLOR PALETTE. If you have an old
generic VGA monitor which can only display 16 colors, I'm afraid
these images will look terrible. Sorry.

1) Accessing your screen saver is easy and requires only three
steps:
  a) Double Click on the Control Panel
  b) Open the Desktop Item
  c) Select your screen saver from the list of screen savers.
SACRED ANIMALS appears in the list of screen savers as
MINICAT NOT SACRED ANIMALS. (I'll that explain shortly.)
If you click on Setup, you will be presented with a dialog
with which you can customize SACRED ANIMALS as a screen
       saver.

2) Customizing the SACRED ANIMALS Screen Saver with Setup.
   a) The 'Effect' list gives you a choice of two special effects
that can be applied to the display.
   b) Delay allows you change the number of seconds each image
is displayed. Or you can enable 'Random' and thereby give
control over this variable to the computer.
   c) 'Effect Size' changes the 'grain' of the dissolves between
images. The smaller the 'Effect Size', the longer to it takes
        images to appear on screen.
   d) Enable 'Show Titles' will cause the title given to each
image to appear at the bottom of the screen when it is
        displayed.
   e) You can also 'Password Protect', the SACRED ANIMALS
        screen saver if you wish.

3) Why the strange terminology? What do MINICAT and CATALOG
mean? SACRED ANIMALS is the first in a long series of
visionary art and historic transportation photo album/screen
savers to be released by Reality Software. The entire
collection is called a Mini-Catalog (MINICAT) and each product
within MINICAT is a CATALOG. If you buy other publications in
this series AND choose to install each as a Windows screen
saver, then the title of each will appear in the drop down
CATALOG list at the top of the Setup dialog which is accessed
from the Desktop item of the Control Panel when you choose
MINICAT as your screen saver. See the manual in the SACRED
ANIMALS album for further explanation of these terms and their
     structural use.
