*QUICK* "Readme" file for version 1.00
(full documentation built-in to the game itself)

After 2 years, the 1.00 version of "Dr. Rudy 2" is finally here!

OOPS!! Beta testing revealed that the game does *NOT* run properly under
Windows! (It runs way too slow.) Sigh. I don't have time to fix this at the
moment, and I want to get this game "out the door," so I will try to fix
this problem before the NEXT version. Sorry, folks! (But, perhaps by the
time you read this file, I will have fixed the problem... check out
http:\\www.cs.mtu.edu\grads\North\software.html on the World Wide Web [until
Feb. 1997] for the latest information!)

Game requirements:
   DOS, VGA *color* monitor

Files in this release:
   RUDY2.EXE, RUDY2.RES, README.TXT. Also, RUDY2.CFG, a personal
configuration file, gets created automatically if not present.

To start the game:
Run the "RUDY2.EXE" program. (In DOS, if you are currently "in" the
directory where the game files are, you can type "RUDY2" to start --
without the quote marks, of course!)

To play the game (quick guide for those of you who never read instructions):
Press ENTER. Use the arrow keys to select a job, and press ENTER. Wait
for the game to begin. Use the ALT and CTRL keys to control the ball.
Guide the ball into viruses of the same color as the ball! Use the SPACE
BAR to pause the game; ESC to quit. Use F4 to control the sound.

To read the FULL instructions:
At the title screen, press F10. Use the arrow keys to select "Read
Instruction Manual," then press ENTER. Use the arrow keys to select a
   section, and then press ENTER.

Distribution policy:
This game can be distributed freely as long as the program and data files
are not modified and no fee is charged. Yes, the game is FREE! But, if
you are very kind to donate $13 ($15 foreign), I will send you a private
version of the game which has an editor! See the built-in instruction
manual in the game for more details.
