I was about to give up on posting to this net, but strongly agree
with Drew on this. This net is supposed to be about good vibes
and good music. The good music is always there, because the
band works hard, and is great. The good vibes are our responsibility,
and all efforts that are made on the net to create and sustain them
are weakened by just a little bit of hostility. We must end the
ignorance and intolerance. Of all the things that we argue about
on the net, this is probably the last one I would have expected to
see. I hope that we can get through this thread without anyone's
feelings being hurt, because that would be a terrible crime for a
netter to suffer. Let us bring reason and happiness back into our
scene.

Ignore these assholes and feel free to make any comment you wish about
sexual orientation! Phish and the Phish.net is for everyone!

I don't have a suggestion for the first CD, but the second one should
just be the entire Tweezer Jam from the Salem, OR 12/1/94 show....

nuf said.... it runs about 60-65 minutes including the encores (which
I consider part of this jam...)

Also, I find the FEFY from this show to be stupendous....

Okay, I know this might not go over well, but here it goes.

As a Deadhead who has frequently seen a Phish vs. Dead thread
pop up over on rec.music.gdead, I just had to come over here
and make two requests.

First, could some kind sole email me and tell me why Phish fans even
compare these two bands. Are they similar or not? I confess
I've never heard any Phish.

Second, so I can come to some informed opinion could some Phish
fan who likes the Dead but doesn't own any shows do a trade with me.
See I have a meager collection of about eight quality tapes of Dead
shows and I'd like to trade one of them for some Phish so I can listen
and hear for myself if I like Phish or not.

Now I will let you all have your newsgroup back and return to mine.

Thanks.

peace,
daniel

I imagine people are going to flame me for being a bigot or some other such
nonsense, but I feel compelled to respond to this. I'm not interested in
reading about your sexual orientation any more than you are interested in
hearing me talk about "bagging chicks." Please keep buggery off of
rec.music.phish.

(now, if you were talking about the band's sexual orientation it might be a bit
more relevant . . .)

I realize that the net is probably going to get a huge response to the idea of
posting set lists but here I go. What is the point to posting your list? If I
wanted to see it I would email the person and get a personal copy of it.
Please no one else follow this example and send in your lists.
