-> |After listening to that tape, I put him with the all-time greats. His
playing
-> |was tasty and energetic, clean and soulful.

I thought the same exact thing after I got my first Phish tapes: 4/16/92.
Mike's bass is mixed very high up and sounds very full, and his playing is
excellent. In fact, I was so amazed by Mike's bass and Page's keys that I
didn't even notice the guitar!

-> |Paul's gotta mix that boy up a little higher. I saw 'em at San Jose in
-> |December, and you could hardly hear Mike. I know he's up there doing all the
-> |same stuff he did at Stanford two years ago, and we'd sure like to hear it!

I agree, turn Mike up!!

Hi everybody,
I'm really interested in getting my hands on any Phish show with Les
Claypool, on bass, jamming with the band. My friend likes Primus, and i've been
trying to turn him on to Phish. Not that i have anything against Primus, i
respect, very much, the musical talent of it's members-especially the drummer &
bassist-it's just that i don't like their style of playing. Anyway, if you have
any of these shows, please e-mail me, and i'll send you my modest list. Right
now i am recovering, finacially, from a few trades i have just made, but in a
week or so i can send out some tapes.

                                Later,
                                Simon

Brian here (out of lurking) to drop a line regarding a man named Scott Case.
I should preface this by saying that I spin MANY tapes for people each week
in return for blanks and postage. Very VERY rarely does a person I am spinning
tapes for send me a self addressed stamped package, and when this does happen,
I rejoice (and it has NOTHING to do with minstrels [sp?]). Anyways, I got
blanksand a sase from Scott Case today, and just wanted to issue a public thank
you/
future trade recommendation to all you netters regarding Scott...AND to remind
you that when someone is spinning tapes for you, it takes THEIR time and
effort,so the least you could do is send blanks and postage...oh well, my 700
bytes...

I don't know how many of you have heard it but I have an actual recording of
GAMEHENGE, the origional copy of Trey's senior thesis. It really is a trip
to hear them on tape when they recorded it on a 4 track in mike's room. The
last song on his thesis is possum, but he give no indication why?
If you are interested e-mail me

For those of you who were lucky enough to be a Toast on FRIDAY nite, you got
to see Mike, Trey and Fish get up and jam with a local band. They were just
hanging out after they played talking with some phriends. You really should
see the scene up here. This has to be the 20th time in my fours years at
UVM that I have been fortunate to have them hop up on the stage and perform.
Hope to see you all soon

Which Phish song mentions "seagulls" in the lyrics?

Punch You In The Eye -

"where palm trees dipped and seagulls swerved"

On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, this was a 9.

congrats to my 2 correct responders! see the city...Dan Perez
