        CHEATER'S GUIDE TO THE REoL TOUGH 2 PROJECT. ** SECRETS **

       And now a few words from your Space Marene Sargant, King REoL:

        Well, well, well. Looks like we have a quitter here! You can't seem
to find the secrets all by yourself? You didn't try hard enough! Sure they
are invisible on the map, but that doesn't mean that you couldn't have found
them! Well, it looks like I'll have to grab your hand and walk you around.
I thought Space Marines were taught to never give up!

                    CHEAT CODES (The Sufficient ones)

        A true cop-out marine would use these! If you're a cop-out, these
are the codes to use, and what they do (there are more, but aren't needed.):

        IDBEHOLD, and A for All-map. V for Invincible. S for 100% Health. 
                 There are more options, but this is all cheater's need!

        IDCLIP, For the true loser! id refers to this one as the "god
                mode", where you walk through walls! You can't pick up any
                items with this enabled, the price for being a loser!

        IDDQD, What Doomheads call the "god mode". Makes you invincible, and
               your screen will be normal, not a negative B/W image.

        DOOM 2 -NOMONSTERS, Type this at the DOS prompt if you are too much
                            of a wimp to fight while hunting for secrets!

                             *** The Secrets ***

        So this is where you cry "uncle"?, well, I'm here to hold your lit-
tle hand as we walk through the unexplored Castle Wolfenstein sections, and
the added secret levels! All directions are with respect to the AUTOMAP. If
I say the Eastern wall, that means the eastern wall of a room ON THE MAP!

                   *** Level 1: The Unknown Entrance ***

(1) Ever wonder how to get to those 6 doors below you when crossing the
   bridge to get to the room o' crates? Here's how to get to the right set:
   
   * When you enter, you'll go into a room with 6 doors, and a HEAVY WEAPON
     DUDE in the center cage above a toxic waste pool. On the South wall,
     like all the others, there are two doors. The door on the right has a
     back wall that opens up. Press the space bar. Go through the hallway
     to the dark room ahead. On the West wall in that dark room is another
     wall that will open to a corridor. Open the door at the end and you're
     at the right bank of 3 doors! Don't wander out! Stay next to the wall,
     or you will be teleported back to the start! Do that when you searched
     all 3 rooms!

   * The left bank of 3 doors? Go back into that hallway that goes to the
     dark room, and on the Northern wall is a hidden door that reveals a 
     teleporter. This takes you to the OTHER 3 doors! Remember to stay close
     to the wall when going through these 3 rooms! Wander out, then back to
     go to the NEXT secret. You're on top of a pile of crates in the room o'
     crates. Do an about face, and enter the door. PLEASE, when jumping off
     the crates from the door, DON'T AIMLESSLY RUN OFF! If you didn't 
     progress far enough into the level, you could be trapped, and would 
     have to restart the game! Just walk off slowly to be safe!

     Now we're going on to level 2!

                      *** Level 2: Hitler's Theatre ***

   * The first secret is right in front of you, the ticket booth the nazi(s)
     are standing in. HOW to get in there is somewhere else. Let's take you
     to the dressing room area, where you'll gain access behind the booth!
     Go into the theater and walk in the door on the left on the stage. On
     the Northern wall where Hitler's picture appears, is a hidden room with
     a rocket launcher and rockets. On the northern most tip of the East
     wall is a hidden switch which opens up the wall to the ticket booth!

   * Although the next secret holds big goodies, they won't last too long!
     Once you make it through the red door, go to the end of the hallway
     and open the door on YOUR left (west wall). You'll see a room full of
     HEAVY WEAPON DUDES and NAZIS. (This room has a red arrow in the floor.
     Ignore it for now!) On the west wall, in the center, the wall will
     open up to reveal a corridor with 3 doors, all go to the same place.
     Open a door (perferably the one on YOUR left), and make a run behind 
     the caged ARCH-VILLES. If you go too slow, you're name will be added
     to the Space Marines National Monument!

Had enough? No? THAT'S what I like to hear! Onto level 3, where things will
start to get quite NASTY!

                        *** Level 3: The Dungeon ***

   * You might have wondered how to lower that lift in the center of the
     dungeon, have you? On the north wall of the dungeon is a lift to the
     outside courtyard with toxic waste at it's floor. Turn left and hit the
     switch. Once done, QUICKLY ride the lift back down into the dungeon and
     grab that center lift BEFORE it goes back up! You will BARELY make the
     lift, if you do. Can't do it you said? That's not what I want to HEAR!!

   * Speaking of the courtyard, you will find on the bottom half of the east
     wall a door that reveals a teleporter. Before you take it, it's best to
     fight all the enemies in the caverns BEFORE you make the trek! Once you
     did that, take this teleporter and you'll be transported into a room
     with two banks of switches, one set on the southeast wall, and the 
     other on the northeast wall. One switch in each bank will open up a se-
     cret, the others SHUT YOU OUT! On the northeast wall, hit the one in the
     middle, and the other bank, hit the one second from the left. One switch
     will open the door to the blue key, and the other will open to another
     secret.

You're WEAK and TIRED? Yes, you are a WIMP, but we're going on to level 4!

                     *** Level 4: Hitler's Offices ***

   * You saw in the second office you went in a raised platform with a PLAS-
     MA RIFLE with a few ENERGY PACKS on it? Well, you got to get into the
     first war room, which has the big nuclear waste pit in the center. In
     this room, on the northern wall, is a balcony which a BARRON is locat-
     ed. On the EXTREME RIGHT of THAT SECTION of the north wall (NOT THE
     BALCONY!), you'll hit a hidden switch which lowers the platform with
     all that weaponry. The bad thing is, you'll have to hit switches to
     get to it, back at the beginning!

   * At the end of this first war room is a door with two staircases, both
     leading to other war rooms. The staircase on YOUR left takes you to the
     BIG war room with the Nazi flag on the floor. After you kill all the
     enemies, walk "through" (no cheating!) the wall and you'll see a switch
     on the extreme bottom of the west wall. Hit it, and the war room is lit
     up. HOWEVER, the lights CAN go back out, so you know what to do then!

   * If you take the second staircase on YOUR right, you'll end up in anot-
     her war room, quite small (rasberry posts), has a trip wire to activate
     a hidden secret! What you do is re-enter the south door and RUN east!
     Take a hairpin turn onto a lift that will take you to a teleport in the
     "blue room" (you'll know it when you see it). Take the lift to reach
     the other secret. PLEASE NOTE that you'll land in another room full of
     HEAVY WEAPON DUDES, and to SUCESSFULLY get off the teleport, walk off
     it BACKWARDS! If you don't you'll be warped back to the small war room!
     NOW you can get to all those goodies you saw in the big war room!

C'mon you lazy wimps! Are you sure you're a Space Marine? I am beginning to
have my doubts! REAL men will march onward to level 5! If you hate dirt and
darkness, you peons can leave!

                       *** Level 5: Twisting Tunnels ***

   * Lucky you. There's only ONE! It's most effective once you have the
     YELLOW KEY in your posession! When you enter the red-keyed area, pick
     up the blue key. Hit that switch, and take the plunge into the lava pit
     BEHIND YOU. Take a dip, and head north towards the western end of the
     pit. A little ways to the left of YOUR rightmost wiew of this wall is
     a secret door with goodies, that also takes you to the secret ammo
     storage room! You'll need the YELLOW KEY for the other suprises!

Got your flashlight in working order? Hope the batteries are new, because
we're going to the Underground Base From Hell!

                 *** Level 6: Underground Base From Hell ***

   * There are 4 secrets here, 3 which are used in conjunction with each
     other, provided you have your ROCKET LAUNCHER and ROCKETS. First off,
     kill off all the enemies before using those 3! But let's talk about a
     very useful secret, that other 1! PAY ATTENTION TO THE GROUND! If you
     don't, you may fall off into the toxic waste river! THERE IS NO WAY OUT
     OF THERE, AND I DON'T WANT TO INSCRIBE NAMES INTO OUR MONUMENT! HOW-
     EVER, there IS a way to PREVENT such a catastrophe, AND see, to some
     extent, WHERE to go! Enter that Grey building on the west end of the
     map. You can only enter ONE door right now! On the other side is a lift
     which you ride up. You'll then go through a small corridor to be on a
     raised platform in the main cavern. In the middle of the northern wall
     of this platform is a secret door which reveals the switch that lights
     up ALL major details on the map, EXCEPT one part of the toxic river. No
     need to pannic. The light for that is NOT hidden away! Now, the first
     of the three remaining secrets is a MEGA-SPHERE inside the center
     building. Enter it, and take the lift up to the center. On YOUR right
     is a small section of wall with a lion on it. Open it and grab the ME-
     GA-SPHERE. No go up the north stairwell and open the door to the tiny
     ledge. Walk alone the ledge to the east and FOLLOW it untill you are
     lined up with the small pit east of the ledge (that tiny brick stru-
     cture). Use your AUTOMAP and ZOOM IN to line up your BACK to that pit!
     If you have at LEAST 163% health AND armor, take your ROCKET LAUNCHER
     and LAUNCH yourself into the pit! You may need to apply the "brakes"!
     Hit the West switch to open the third secret (you're in the second one
     now), then the east switch to raise the platform you're on to get out!
     Head into the building on the southeast section of the map, and lower
     the lifts to grab the ENERGY PACKS!

Yeah, boaring! That one WAS long! Wanna' see the daylight again? Well, let's
get back above ground and go to Level 7! UAC's been to Castle Wolfenstein.
Easy to tell. Quite a bit of this place was modernized. Those dolts!

                   *** Level 7: Modernized Wolfenstein ***

   * TWO secrets, one used to get to the other. Simple ones! The first one
     is located behind the white-lit door, in the marble-textured hallway.
     On the second to the last step ON YOUR WAY UP is a door hiding a switch
     on the southern side. What you do is hit the switch, RUN south into the
     big room (which the red key is in) behind the metal door, and IMEDIATE-
     LY on YOUR left is an open wall. Go through it BEFORE it closes. You'll
     once again BARELY make this one! This secret is SOOOOO HUGE! It's al-
     most half the size of the ENTIRE MAP!

I hope you aren't used to the daylight, because we're going underground ag-
ain! This time, into a big cave with GIANT and DEEP lava pools!

                          *** Level 8: The Cave ***

   * After going through those dark wooden tunnels, you'll approach a room
     mostly out of slightly green rocks. You'll see a teleporter on YOUR
     right. You'll notice on the south side of this teleporter a tiny sect-
     ion of wall. Hit this section and a secret room opens up! Inside is a
     switch which lowers lifts to go into the left caged room in the main
     cave! Hope you can take a beating! To return, hit the switch inside
     this caged room!

   * On the second part, you work your way to a door that overlooks a tiny
     building in a giant lava pool. Go through it, and when you jump out of
     the small building into the next cave section. There's a section of
     wall in the DOORWAY you ENTERED which opens a secret teleporter! This
     is a small section of wall on the south side of the doorway. Note that
     this is IMEDIATELY AFTER the jump out of the small building!

   * Did you see that room you get SOOOOO close to when your crossing the
     balance beam? To get there, jump into the north pit where that small
     building is. On the north side you'll see two teleporters. The left one
     is your "bail out" one (I actually gave you one!), and the right one is
     the secret one you opened. Go in the right one. You're in that room you
     see, but never could reach! On the southeastern most portion of that
     room (skinny hallway, like the one you entered in) a secret door on the
     south side will open up. A BFG-9000 awaits, iff you nail the ARCH-
     VILLES first, and my, are there quite a few of them!

You worked so hard, you deserve a break, well, YOU'RE NOT GETTING ONE! We
have ONE more level to go, and I'm telling you, it's a HORROR SHOW!

                *** Level 9: Total War, The Battlefield ***

   * This ain't really a secret, but in the Ammo Building, the door on the
     RIGHT, looking from outside, opens up the upper teir of ammo.

   * TWO secrets! One helps you get to the other. In the yellow-keyed buil-
     ding, go up the stairs, through the tiny hallway, and you're in a small
     room (northwest corner) In the middle of the west wall, the RED KEY is
     hidden. When you exit, you may have noticed a redundant red-keyed door
     on the red warehouse (southern building)! Hit the red door, and a small
     room will open up with it in the warehouse! You'll NEED the stuff in
     there if you want to win the mission!

CONGRADULATIONS! You've done the Space Marines PROUD! Not only did you end
the reign of terror from hell, and the neo-nazis, the world is safe once ag-
ain, of course, untill some other PWAD catches your eye....

############################ THE SECRET LEVELS! ############################
    As you read in the RT2P docs, these are not accessable through the RT2P,
but if you play them, here are the secrets to these two levels:

                   *** Level 31: "O" What a Nightmare! ***

   * When you finished running through the pen name REoL, you'll notice a
     couple of raised platforms with MEDICAL KITS on them. What you do is
     when the path to the exit finally comes up, get onto the platform of
     MED-KITS on YOUR right (towards the "L"), and do an about face to view
     the kits on the left (towards the "E"). RUN to the left set of kits,
     STILL RUNNING, and RUN OFF the edge of the left platform of kits
     towards the "E". You'll land behind a retainer wall where a teleporter
     awaits. Go in, and you're in secret #1! Once teleported, IMMEDIATELY 
     to YOUR left and press the wall. That section of wall opens another
     teleport inside the letter "L". Walk out, and run off the edge of the
     cliff to be teleported to safety.

   * FIND that teleporter in the letter "L" and you'll be in a room which
     takes you in a giant room full of MANCUBUSES. Run into the daylight and
     you're on to level 32!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                        *** Level 32: Death Valley ***

    OK, So you've been here, but you don't see a valley? What do you call
    that drop in the battlefields to open that big center door? HUH??!!
    Kill the SPIDER MASTERMINGDS or CYBER DEMON(S) first, and the name MAY
    not apply! Antway, let's get to the two secrets here!:

   * You know that wall between the front door and the crate with the red
     key on it? (Building across the water.) Press between there, and you
     should hear a door open, taking you to the BLUE KEY.

   * On the west wall of the same building above, one the southern half, a
     wall will open up and reveal a stairwell to a yellow-keyed door. You'll
     find usefull stuff down there!
